Just finished it. Very formulaic, but also entertaining. I especially liked the opening credit scenes where it’s clear the cast is all there line dancing and then again during the final credits where the woman who plays Amelia’s sick mom is laughing and dancing with her normal hair and not the wig.

Nicole Kidman is hard to watch these days. The fillers make her face look strange, the overuse of botox makes her looks frozen. When she tries to make an expression or even smile, looks painful… Sad as she was naturally beautiful and had a lovely character to her face …

I guess in this role the filler and Botox is plausible because of the character but if she tried playing a single mom living in poverty with three kids I would not believe it at all. The cosmetic procedures really hinder their acting abilities and believability. People in the real world don’t look like that.

Nice series and beautifully shot. At last a director or DoP who isn't interested in showing off the low light capability of the camera. I like the grading too with slightly saturated colours. Good storyline, well acted, and cut. All in all a thoroughly professionally made and entertaining series.
