Johnny Cash just got dropped like Einstein in the Oppenheimer trailer 🤣
Well, he is one of the old school country music tho!
The movies about Bob Dylan not Johnny Cash. Bob Dylan influence Johnny Cash and they recorded together.
At this point, i'm quite certain that Cash, Dylan, Elvis, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, are going to have some sort of Avengers team up movie 🤣

Thought the exact same thing. Like wtf why did they reveal him like he was Iron Man in a Captain America film.
I love it hahaha, imagine if that was Joaquin Phoenix lol
yeah lol don't forget that James Mangold also directed Walk the line
i think mangold just loves johnny cash atp, because he did walk the line and then had a song of his play at the end of logan

Idk if you’ve seen Bob’s comments on this movie but I don’t think he has a hand in it 😭. Might be wrong though

@@gabrielpiero2004 Wow that is so cool, people never get to have a hand in the movies that are about them it seems.
@gabrielpiero2004 there's no evidence of Bob having a hand in this movie. He did give an OK to the movie since it's only about a moment (transitioning to electric instruments) of his life and not a biopic.

Raise your standards
@@easyandy95 Take your pretentious attitude somewhere else. "Be groovy or leave"

I was never a huge Dylan fan but the two trailers for this movie have unlocked a much deeper appreciation for his song writing ability. "Well, if you go when the snowflakes storm, When the rivers freeze and summer ends, Please see if she’s wearing a coat so warm, To keep her from the howlin’ winds"...what a poetic lyrics.
Hope this movie gets you into Dylan. His lyrics are incredible enough to earn him Nobel prize in literature. If you like Girl From The North Country, please try Boots of Spanish Leather. It uses the the same melody with better lyrics. th-cam.com/video/iOHkyZ62jjQ/w-d-xo.html This cover is the best version of the song as it is sung in duet as intended by the songwriter.
Shelter from the storm
Good lord, I remember 10-12 years ago, watching almost all the old interviews, songs, videos of Boy Dylan, anything available on TH-cam at that time, I used to watch it all.
And Timothee looks sooo much like Bob Dylan with his style, his looks, his mannerisms, gestures.. I was blown away into the wind with this trailer.
The way Timothée Chalamet can portray totally different characters in a way that you don't even see it's him underneath that new personality is so amazing and just shows how much of a versatile actor he is, TRULY one of the best actors of these days and no matter how much you hate him or be sick to see is face on the big screen - if he became a big name on the industry is because he definitely has something special over all the other actors. He's going for his first Oscar for this role (and it's gonna be VERY well deserved), write it down
It’s exactly the opposite. You see Timothee always, especially here not a piece of Dylan - in anything.
I’m sorry and id usually agree but the accent in this movie is so bad i cant get over it
Lisan Al Gaib

Looking forward to this one! My fav Dylan memory: several yrs ago, while visiting Limerick IR, while I was ordering takeaway coffees at Abbey River Coffee, Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" started playing on the shop's audio system. That epic snare drum snap! After a few moments, myself, the barista, and another customer started singing the song out loud at same time. We smiled at each other!

Excited for this, Bob Dylan is one of my favourite 60's singers, his music really makes feel something, to see Timothee Chalamet portraying this legend is a blessing in disguise.
They missed the opportunity of having Joaquin Phoenix playing Johnny Cash once again but I am still happy Johnny is going to be in the movie 😄😂 ( I am madly excited for this movie) 😺😺
Phoenix is 50 years old. Cash should be around 30-35 in this era.
The real missed opportunity: cast Joaquin Phoenix have him on screen while Bob Dylan''s "Jokerman" plays in the background. 😉
Phoenix is too old now to play Cash at that age. Besides, they'd have to pay him big money for a small part.

Would've worked if Mangold made this after Walk The Line
I went up to Ed Norton at 5am in Mountainside, New Jersey and said “Mr. Seeger, whatever happens in Folk Club stays in Folk Club.” He nodded and I walked away. Mangold really was the right man with the track record and merit to execute this story.

@@nikitamohan3390 yeah, sure. although, let's keep in mind that David Scarpa wrote the script for G2. The one who wrote the script for disastrous Napoleon ; besides, Scott never put characters first in his movies. In G1, Russel Crowe was a stand out because everything revolved around him, he was the driving engine of G1, they infamously started production without a proper script, and Crowe and Scott just sat and moved with script and story.
This time, a mediocre screenwriter wrote a script. There is not much chance , even for a very good actor as Mescal, to pull off oscar worthy performance. Given how weak this year is , compared to previous, it is possible PM will get nominated, just like Scott (deservedly so, considering his portfolio) who also just might win for years of great directing .
