My favorite part of the song: "I wonder if she remembers me at all; many times, I've hoped and prayed; in the darkness of my nights; in the brightness of my days." The singer's deepest prayer is not that they will get back together, if they ever were together; he prays to God and hopes beyond hope that.....she just remembers him at all. This song is heartbreak and longing at it's most mature; remarkable that a young man had such an old soul.

My Father introduced me to Bob Dylan’s music in the 80ies when I was just a young kid. I got hooked instantly! At the time it was mostly Dylan’s 80’s tunes & onward. It wasn’t until my Dad was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2020 before I heard Dylan’s original and older albums. He would sit down for hours listening to The Freewheelin’ Album. Eye’s closed, foot stomping, & singing from his soul! It’s almost like the whole world stopped and everything was going to be ok with what my Dad was battling. This album was his medicine and not only did it help him, it helped me. There is not a day that I don’t put that album on. It pulls me away from all the world’s nonsense and BS. Saw this. It's really good. A well-done period piece, set in the early 1960s - highlights the rise of folk music into the mainstream - and Bob Dylan as the vehicle that makes that happen. Really enjoyed every scene. Warning - the stars smoke like chimneys throughout the entire film - which is pretty much how it was back then. Dylan remains an enigma - because the person behind the persona is never really revealed - and I think that's how he was to most people who knew him.

Honestly, most docu/musician movies don't make a part 2. Most of us know how it turned out because we're baby boomers. We get made fun of by the younger generation but deep down they're jealous. I'm jealous too. If I was born in the early 50's instead of '63 I would have been around to experience a lot more. We really did almost come to nuclear war in the early 60's. When President Kennedy was assassinated my Mom told me I was 8 months old & in the high chair eating when the news came on.

A well acted and presented film that portrays a very self involved Bob Dylan, who wanted what he wanted. It showed him as an artist that felt he knew what his music should be and it wasn't what some producer wanted him to play. He wanted to lead rather than follow. The music was great, and personally I could have used even more of it. The back story of Woody Guthrie was sad but it did show the effect he had on people, especially Dylan. The supporting cast especially, Ed Norton as Pete Seeger was exceptional. I highly recommend this film.

Got hooked on Dylan in September of 1974 playing Blood on the Tracks while working off a really bad hangover in the back of a subaru wagon travelling from Saint Simons Island to Knoxville. Been part of my life ever since, will definetly be seeing this on the 25th.

Movie theatre are the most magical place in teh world. It’s the closest thing we will ever get to time travel. Watching a film on your computer at home with the light on is nothing compared to the immersion a theatre gives you? May I ask…what’s your aversion to the theatre?

I really appreciate that this doesn't seem like yet another cookie cutter biopic trying to squeeze someone's entire career into a neat little 2 hours. Just focusing on the early days into electric was such a pivotal moment not only for Bob but music in general.

If Chamalet won the first Oscar, he's gonna be the youngest winner for the category at the age of 29 years and 3 months, beating over Adrien Brody with 29 years and 11 months.

    Come gather ’round people
    Wherever you roam
    And admit that the waters
    Around you have grown
    And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’
