My experience with Musou game is Undead Knight for psp. I dont remember much but it is fun. Too bad I didnt finish it back then. I also wish we had more action games like God Hand.
I never got around to playing Undead Knight but I have heard of it, it looks like an interesting game. We will never get another God Hand, too based for the 2020's.
Great video Terry, I've already talked to death about Musou games so I won't repeat myself here. I'm willing to give Samurai Warriors 4 DX a go at some point but that's only because I've never really played any of the Samurai Warriors games. I think my tolerance for Musou games is pretty much nil nowadays, I've played too many in the past and can't enjoy them like I used to. Last one I truely enjoyed was DW8 Empires.
Yeah musou games are people who want a very samey formula throughout the whole game, in other words, people like me. I think for that reason, you know what you're getting when you play one.
my current favourite is Dynasty warrior gundam 2 ps2 version, pilot skills, parts buff combination are too good in that game. But it might change as I just got WO3U
I haven't played any of the Gundam games, kinda hard to do right now since they haven't pported them to modern systems. I never played WO3U but I did playy WO4, a lot of people hate that one but I enjoyed it. WO3 just feels like it would be too overwhelming for me content wise.
very well said. they are good games for relaxation when the time is right. i feel like tecmo koei and capcom were a good rivalry for the genre but sadly capcom gave up
Well the producer left the company which left Basara in limbo but yes the competition defnintely brought the best out of both. I think that's why Warriors has been on a decline lately.
Yep, people underappreciate the satisfaction that comes from watching cool shit happen on a screen as 100's of people die in seconds. There's more to games than just difficulty and these games show that, basara in particular.
I played Hyrule Warriors and surprisingly, it's the only Zelda I like. I bought Age of Calamity recently but I'm not sure if I'll like that. I also played One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 and stopped playing that since it seemed I need to be an OP fan to enjoy it and well OP is one of those franchises where I think it's fanbase is a cult group. Other than that, not sure if I really care that much, I'm not sure if these games are as brainless as people claim considering you have to manage ally health bars and shit, I don't even think the games checkpoint that often either. Honestly, when it comes to musou games, I'm not really apathetic or overly passionate towards, I kind of just don't care.
It's funny how Hyrule Warriors is the most popular musou game because of Nintendo. Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors may have pioneered the genre but they're not the most popular which feels weird because they were for the longest time.
@@CynicalGamingBlogTerry309 It's Zelda so I expect no less. The series really seems to go over with casual gamers arguably more so than Mario does. I've seen more Zelda cosplays and fan art than I care to count. I guess it's because they don't have the mainstream western appeal that Zelda does.
Sengoku basara was GOATED. Epic character designs with fun dialogue and combat.
Basara is like the most anime thing ever and I love it, just good ol' dumb fun with a combat system that's surprisingly technical for a musou.
3 reasons I play musou games :
-stress reliever
-weapons collecting
-cool characters
my favorite is orochi series
That's one of the things that bothered me about Samurai Warriors 4, not enough weapons. Great gameplay though but the weapons were lacking.
@@CynicalGamingBlogTerry309 yeah, the weapons are lacking and the roosters are less than usual too.
@@detergenb29 That's one of the thing I like better about Samurai Warriors 2 but I love the combat of 4 though.

Moderation is the key, the recent One Piece Mosou I beat was a lot of fun, I need to play a few more of the older ones but yeah, what’s not to like.
I don't particularly care for One Piece myself so I didn't play any of those but I heard they're some of the more technical Warriors games.

it's the perfect kind of game to just turn of your brain and... wreck sh** up, have some fun.
you can tell DW 7 is pretty much the only one I've really played, though X)
@@KingLich451 DW7 is the only one you really need... unless you want something a little more technical in which case you play Basara.

Yeah Zelda is a well known franchise... Dynasty Warriors... not so much. Not everyone is compelled by chinese history enough to get into it.

Plus Zelda is THE casual franchise.
Yet I suck at it XD
