Not really into roasted woods and for sure don't care about SS frets so the thing I appreciate most here is the very good sounding pickups and playability out of the box. For $300 or so getting a cool looking guitar that does not need any upgrades to sound good is something to celebrate
@@land.1368 So much better than what exactly? Do you personally know anyone who bought a guitar new or used in great condition and ever needed a re-frret? They do affect the tone somewhat but I doubt any of us could walk into a space where a band was playing and have any idea whether SS frets were being used or not. I am not knocking anyone who likes them or would buy one guitar over another to get SS we all get to choose what we like its just not anything that would factor into my purchase
Awesome sound on the improvised intro Max, Just got Katana 50 gen 3 yesterday and trying all tones with my HB fusion 3, both from our favourit german store 😉 All the best mate!
Guitar Fetish always sold pretty good guitars. I have owned several Xaviere LP copies and they were always great guitars. I wish they kept the old style head stock with the metal name plate IMO that set them out from other affordable brands. I have bought many parts, Hardware, necks, bodies and pickups from them. They used to be a local company but moved out of MA. a few years ago. Shipping when they were here I would get my parts sometimes the next day. I have yet to try their Slick and SBS guitars. I do browse their page about everyday mainly for their clearance factory blowout stuff. I have built several guitars using husks, bodies and necks I got pretty cheap. Truthfully they are my go to for project guitars. I used to browse Rondo every other day but they have gotten expensive for what was considered an affordable brand. I loved their Agile line but other brands I got from them hit it out of the park as far as a quality affordable brand.
I would've totally have gotten the hardtail HH model but it has a reverse headstock and none of the HT's with HH have a non-reverse for some reason. That's unfortunate.
I do like the reverse headstock visually but on a non locking guitar its a no for me. I have a great Nuno neck from an old partscaster with a great brass nut plays and sounds amazing and currently its in the parts pile so def that part
Nice guitars. Companies are getting much better at putting the right kind of features together and packaging it all in a very playable and inexpensive but high quality guitar.
Will you do an episode about guitars with a natural finish? Several models, comparison, visible wood structure, natural beauty of the top. Greetings!!!
I'm a little salty lol I got a Xavier tele a couple years ago and I would have waited for that hardtail SBS tele. Did just pick up a Xavier PRO500 and love it. I think they improved those too the frets on mine are flawless and polished, was also set up well out of the box.
They are really looking better with the floyd roses. Love me a floyd rose. No plates on the neck. I'm not into guitars with square heels and plates anymore, rounding the necks and heels down. I do that to ALL of my guitars if they don't have painted necks.
Great overview video! Thank you. Question: What's the neck profile/dimensions on this? The website says 19mm at the first, so that's like a Charvel speed neck or Schecter Ultra Thin C. Would you agree the neck feels similar to those guitars? Is it thicker? Thinner? I want to get a strat/tele style guitar to mess around with and I like stainless steel frets+thin necks. This may work and the price is bonkers. I was gonna get an Ibanez AZ but I tried the neck at a Guitar Center and it's chunky compared to Wizard necks I like. Thank you.
- Max Sir, Those look like beautiful quality instruments. The standards are crazy good right. beautiful with the VALUE right. So so sorry about the HELL in HELL A ...........with the fires..........it's been truly devastating and i spared a thought for LA people's struggles....... Who could ever believe Fires of this Magnitude would happen? keep well and Thanks Ben ( London ) uk
the volume is too close i would smack it way too much but really sick guitars. although i would just rewire for single volume and put in a kill switch so no worries :p
😂 I may be late to the party, but this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've heard you call yourself Danzig, ? Why? No you don't look like Danzig but yeah you share characteristics both dark hair, muscular build like music. However when you are side to side and facing a person you can tell the difference.
For the purpose of transparency, where are they manufactured? Generally, I would assume it to be China (which doesn't automatically mean that it's bad), but I would like to know for sure. I am actually impressed! The decision to use Stainless Steel frets all-at-once takes the instrument out of the class of foreign-made disposable products. That's big.
So glad to see the hardtails finally hitting the market. That purple tele looks sweet!
Definitely worth checking out.
That's what Rainman would say.
Thanks. Heck of a deal for under $400. I like the pick-ups on the SS-365. The overtones give it a really awesome sound.
Max you gotta get the Thomann guys in on this for the euro market

Stainless steels are so much better though

@@land.1368 better at lasting longer and sounding a bit brighter which I like personally but understand its not fo all!

Excellent! Rock on.
Stainless steel frets is a must have! Great to see SBS adopting them, like a lot of 2025 new guitars upcoming 🎉🎉🎉

what would you think if a guitar company made an entire guitar that was roasted maple. the body. the neck. the headstock. all of it.
That would be awesome!
And heavy
I luuuuuv that Sunburst Strat style guitar! The finish is beautiful! The Tele is also brilliant. Wouldn't mind owning both! 🤩🙌🙌
They are great guitars!

The jazzmaster with Floyd 👍
Clean tones🥶
Been waiting on a hardtail!!! 24 frets would be nice but not a deal breaker
I agree 100%.
Get these before import fees go up in price!
That strat looks fantastic
Plays fantastic too!
Nice guitars. Companies are getting much better at putting the right kind of features together and packaging it all in a very playable and inexpensive but high quality guitar.
Hope your safe out there in LA. Take care man.
Love a fixed bridge Super-Strat! Another good guitar review, by Guitar Max. (I said it out loud like Christopher Walken)

Possibly!
Most definitely screams 80s! 🤘

Max are you guys safe from the LA fires ? How about your plane ?
Man do I want one

I'm absolutely gonna get the yellow version of the T shape
Do it!

If you're not interested in a Floyd Rose, trem get Babicz trem... works like a Floyd.
lots of ppl complain about the previous quality issues with what they bought i hopw the company addressed this.
such a pity that those purple SH are not available in left-hand version....
Really hoping there’s some guitars in orange🤞🏻
Overseas shipping is more than the actual price as the guitars, bummer for some looking for that bang for the buck man.
Did you mention any lefty models??
Like the guitar intro im in nz ill look out for these guitars love feedback on my original compositions
Hi Max. What’s your thoughts between the newest fireflies vs what you’re demoing on this vid. Luv your channel. Rock on!
Oppa Gangnam style
Right , Stainless is a harder steel to work/file . But they won't wear I bet
Something about that purple tele I find it really hard to not stare
And not just purple all electronics in the back and no pick guard.. just really sharp for an affordable tele
No drop c tuned?
What's with the "Danza, I mean Maxx" thing. I must be missing something.
the volume is too close i would smack it way too much but really sick guitars. although i would just rewire for single volume and put in a kill switch so no worries :p
Not dark fretboard?
Where can i buy in E.U???????
shipping insane from US
Max, we need to talk……about that hair care routine. I need to know.
This video is kinda torture. Really loven that tele but 2 and a half more months in a brace
I feel like the pickups sound bad clean. They sound great distorted, but the clean tone doesn't do anything for me.
Nivey nice!
Yes guitar golden age great u r getting into nutririon
What's a fulcrum? 2 halves of a crum course 😂
Curious what you mean by "bad industrial music". 🤨

I’ll bet Max is taller😂
