- Some of the highlights of my first trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. What an amazing time! I cannot wait to go back! We spent alot of time at the Full Throttle Saloon, Riding the roads like Sperfish Canyon, etc, Bear Butte. Spent some time at the Iron Horse, awesome place. If you havent gone and you love bikers/bikes than add this to your bucket list!

Great Job on the Video Chuck. I also went this year. You pretty well rapped it up for me in 15 minutes. Thanks for bringing back memories of the FTS and Iornhorse. It is those two places that keep me coming back every year for the music and cold Beer.
This was also my our first Sturgis trip. We loaded up from Pensacola Florida and away we went. Long drive , however it was one of my favorite moments in life.. We stayed in Rapid City thinking it was a long drive to Sturgis. Nope... perfect. Sturgis and all the other places in the video were awesome !!!!!! Will return next year in a camper.
It was awesome wasn't it? Cant wait to go back, but might not be until 2021.

After living 15 years in Daytona, Strugis looks like a blasts. Maybe next year.
We're probably going to do Daytona instead of Sturgis in 2020, how does it compare? I know the riding won't be comparable.

It has gotten so big since I was there in ‘99-01. I don’t know if I would like it. My nephew in ‘99 made video tape of our trip. I need to have that converted to CD’s.

Those riders look old! Competing rallies are popping up across the country, too. What is the future for Sturgis? Will it become a summer camping jamboree for retirees driving 4- wheelers over to the Iron Horse? Will the Gray Riders buy the Iron Horse? Will they build a retirement center for bikers? Pay extra for rooms trimmed in leather.

I bought the 2019 Street Glide Special because I wanted the 114 engine , but I also have the 2018 Indian Chieftain chromed out with the big bore 116 kit. Honesty the H-D doesn’t come close to the ride and suspension .
HD stock suspension is garbage (for the price of the bikes). Im adding the Legend Suspension Revo-A shocks and Axeo fork inserts, its a HUGE improvement.
I saw you pull into the Travelodge in Deadwood. Is that where you stayed?
Yes, we did. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The covered parking was nice too.
Oh ...I liked the valet parking riders at the iron horse...

We'll be there next year. Maybe we can hook up and have a drink or take a ride. The blue bike is mine. It was a huge project to build both simultaneously.
