No need to be a social butterfly to live in Asheville! I'm super introverted, and if you love nature, all you need to do is disappear into the woods or the top of a mountain!
Totally true! I always say there’s a place for everyone here in no matter what type of personality you are. When you’re surrounded with so much nature, you always have a choice.
Love the dudes hat at Dilbar! We enjoyed four nights in your city last week, there for two nights of DSO at Salvage Station. Great meals at Andaaz and La Rumba.
Killer outfit! Organic chic business casual. Peach is your color. I love Sambar. I hope they make a Vegan Sambar. Another great video, gets me psyched about moving here.
Oh…. well we never heard anything more from you… We expected to hear something. I’ve continued to watch enjoy and comment on and learn from your videos irregardless of that though.
45 years old and I Moved here from San Diego in 2022. We seem to just be getting our bearings almost a year and a half later. 1. The outdoors were our main pull to get from a city of 2Million, to a small town vibe. I love going fishing, hiking, mountain biking and camping without seeing ANOTHER PERSON the entire day. I like the home town vibe...everyone knows each ohter. Lots to explore to get off grid and Property is still affordable. Looking for several acres in Marshall or Mars Hill to build our dream home.....10 acres, extra livable property....bust into the airbb market and set up out property as a pseudo campground. The Bad.....We came from a large city in California. Asheville feels like a city block in San Diego. Of course we wanted to downsize, but its been a major downsize and a bit of culture shock.
Haha! I can imagine!! We must seem so tiny comparatively. I like your idea and where your head is and we’d be happy to help you when the time is right. Feel free to reach out.
The people here can’t afford to live in a house and you want to have more people move here so housing costs are driven even higher!! Wow! How about you put all of your energy into helping this city create more affordable housing instead of selling these overpriced cheaply built homes to people who can barely even afford them as it is just so that they can come live in a great place. I’m so fed up with this B.S. around here! The one thing you don’t mention in this video is the extreme amount of tourism around here almost year-round. Great video tho!
I mention tourism in many of the other videos. I have many places I need to put my energy and also recognize the affordable housing issue. I appreciate your comment and thank you.
I'll be honest, I didn't find the people to be that friendly with the exceptions being my Uber/Lyft drivers, other tourists, and this one cashier at Whole Foods. Other than that, I got a standoff-ish weird vibe. Maybe it was me. Maybe it was an off time to be there. Who knows!
I just got offered a job today. Nervous to say yes. I feel 75k gross is going to be living paycheck to paycheck due to rent. How easy is it to make friends? (In my 40s and a single gal). Find rent with two Aussies? Finding a roommate?
A lot of people have roommates here. A lot of people have dogs too. Things will work out. It depends on your personality and willingness to seek out friends but people are friendly here.
I’m from New Jersey. I stayed in Hendersonville. By far the kindest and sweetest people in the world.

Love La Zoom! (At 5:49, I tripped and fell on that raised platform when I went lol)
Oh my goodness, I’ve done that! Haha.

I have had a really nice experience with the vibe in AVL but it definitely depends.
Shiny happy people… but not the Duggar documentary kind, right? (Same name of the Amazon Prime Documentary) Haha
Oh, I haven’t seen that. I was thinking more REM style. 😂

Where can I buy raw milk in Asheville?
Question, and I don’t have the answer for you yet. I know there are some regulations around that which make it a little bit more difficult.
Fresh Market on Hendersonville Rd next to Liberty bicycles.
Farmers markets, there are a ton of weekly sales of goods crafted locally.
She lives in LA LA land.
Wait a minute…. Haha
ok realtor , where do poor people go?
Hi Steven, it depends.
Homeless
Mayor Esther was letting them sleep on the streets and in the Parks after she defunded the police and almost half of them left.. the police that is.
Spent a week there in 2010, great little city.
How cool! Do you plan to come back?
