I have a BCD K98 that looks just like that, but mine is marked with a single 4.
That would be 1944
@@LegacyCollectibles Yes, a collector told me they broke the die that stamped the date so they just used the 4 instead of 44.

I really wish one of these big shows would come to Florida. Especially SW Florida. You’d have thousands lined up waiting to get in
So many nice items here but that commercial Krieghoff with the long barrel is such an honest-looking beauty. Not necessarily connected to a known person in history to add to the story but a beautiful example of the firearms craftsmanship of its era. I love the histories that can sometimes come with a gun but a good example is a good example even without a story and I really appreciate that.

@@MauserC1896 Well it's a beautiful pistol and appears to be a fine example. I really liked that one. I know it is highly unlikely to happen but I would relish the opportunity to handle and even more so, to fire such a thing. I have had the pleasure of firing a WWI era standard Luger which my grandfather owned but nothing as nice as that long-barrelled piece.

Sorry but it is a P-40 one of the early models, later they deleted the two cowling guns and put one more in each wing.

Crazy, shows around here have very little in the ways of this kind of history, most guys are repeat “venders” with holdovers from the previous show, every now and then something new sneaks in but not enough to notice.

I thought you were supposed to be an expert and dealer? Antique and blackpowder pistols/rifles can NOT be shipped to anywhere. Go ahead, try to ship one to CA, NJ, or NYC and see what happens.
