Great video guys! Very entertaining!
Good stuff, you guys looked at way different stuff than I did
Thanks for the tour of the guns you like and know about !
The Hoss has a great channel too!
Hey Erik, do you think the UK, American special friendship exists? Actually that question was directed at any American watching this. Thumb up if you do, opposite if you don't.
Some of those old timey guns are just beautiful.
Don't get them all buttery.
Hans Blitz you know he will, haha

I gotta admit it was a pleasant surprise to click on a IV8888 vid and see TheHoss... very cool!
We're selling that Gatling gun (@8:19) in May for anyone who's looking to spice up their living room.
I appreciate you guys being sports about us filming.
Eric B Of course! Thank YOU for spreading the little known history of what I like to call the "Canadian-vasion." They had it coming.
Rock Island Auction Company Those darn Canadians!
Eric Brandy
I pre-judged you sooo wrong the first time i saw you on video... Since i watch EVERYTHING you upload and couldn’t have more respect. You are THE very best, your dedication and real ness is unequaled.
Take Care Bud,
J.R.
Two cool dudes :)
Boy you aint lyin Tony. These are two of the coolest cats on all of youtube hands down! I have picked up more about antique firearms from watching Eric's channel that from any other outlet. You can tell he is passionate about the history of these rifles. His old Mosin videos are some of my fav vids on youtube. Great video Eric and Hoss!
Surprised not to see any Mosin Nagants, yes they are widely available but they are just great rifles and a real piece of history
tennis ball and pop can cannon, Hell Yes!
Damn! Here in Norway the m1 Garand is ilegal for hunting :( Thou the Ruger mini 14 and 30 are Legal :P Breivik used a Ruger mini 14. But the Garand is ilegal for being "Military grade" -.-
Hoss, many of us younger guys are interested in keeping the traditions alive, but in this economy the cost of scraping by comes first. its why I APPRECIATE the youtube crowd. at least I can see the firearms I cannot afford right now. Thanks Eric!
Score! Those were some great buys! The best I've done was a Berthier Mle 1907/15 for $120 CDN, as a bonus, it came with the original leather sling!
The guy with the Garands is gonna be wound up when his inbox explodes after this.
Garands and Arisakas.... all those other guns with history!! That was awesome... would love to have been there with you!
I HATE THIS CHANNEL! Every time I watch it I see MORE guns/stuff I gotta get...
I thought about checking out that show, but was so busy with SHOT this year. BTW love The Range 702, I shoot there often when I come into town from Pahrump. Its a great indoor range and the wife can get some coffee at the shop while I am shooting :)
I will have to check out this antique arms show next year..
we gotta go shooting next time your in the valley
*****
Definitely. Let me know if you ever make your way out to Pahrump too. We have a nice private range out here to shoot at.
While you can get a lot of info on milsurps in magazines, actually seeing the guns rocks. Great vid guys, thanks!
Beretta also made Garands in .308 (7.62X51) for NATO in the early '50s.
I wish you had a TV show.... Awesome video. I'm sure I could've watched for hours!
Nice vid, great Hoss humor ;-), you guys make good footage together.
00:26
"Yeah, I was thinking about wearing this thing"
Trust me buddy, it won't fit, don't even think about it.
Hoss I want a review on the Jucy Rv. Great camera work on that last segment.
imagine going to a golf range with one of Rick's golf ball canon, would be awesome
Well we clearly know what the camera man (probably Chad) was trying to get a shot of at the end. :P
I found that distracting - had to watch it a few times to pick up on what Eric and Hoss were talking about. :-)
1guyin10 They were talking?
That mortar would be great for a dog that likes to play fetch.
LOL @ Hoss gazing at the bear and rubbing it's fur.
A pity I can't afford to drop 3 grand on that Murata.
Where in the HECK is BARRY??? I thought you 2 were an indivisible team!
Lance Vette Hes dead bro ;(
best looking AR i have ever seen
Some nice rifles you picked up!
7:55 so steampunk it's insane
See that's what you get for hangin' out with a Marine......Go Army!!! LOL
(US Army -19 Delta Cav Scouts....This "SCOUTS OUT!")
What a great idea for a video! Awesome job guys!
I liked the stock and handguards of that AR-15 but the upper and lower were hideous IMO.
I thought that was the greatest AR I have ever seen lol. I want 10 just like it.
I agree the metal on it was hideous and gaudy.
Better than the SHOT SHOW!
Good times for sure
The van might be the coolest thing I have seen in my life!!!!!
Nice. Shot show would be cool, but there is nothing like living, functioning pieces of history.
Big Lolz at Hoss and the Bear skin.
Cheers!
Great video! awesome to see you going back to milsurps. I know I would love to see more milsurp content.
The ivory/bone inlaid wheellock pistol at the top of the arrangement... @ 8:11
Beautiful piece.
Thanks for the upload guys.
i have about 20 M1 Garands including 2 IHC and HRA and Springfield and a few Winchester and the special WIN13 garand and a full size Springfield in .308. I also have a Winchester M1 carbine and a National postal meter and a Quality hardware M1 carbine
Great video. In 2010,I was fortunate to shoot one of the Gattling guns used in Spanish American war.(Owner, sadly since deceased.) As far as the guns, you purchased a Turkish alteration of a Commission 88. Most of these have an "S" on receiver indicating modification to the more modern bullet.Described as 88/14 in a 1974 Q&A in the American Rifleman (Scarlata's book describes as 88/05), some care must be taken when shooting with .323" bullets (try to get copy of AR's '74 article). The Martini-Henry Cadet was originally an obscure .310 round, with the importer modifying to the more readily available .32-20.Keep vids coming you're one of my favorite channels.
I actually HAVE a Madsen M47...I think the only reason the Colombians bought them was that the Danish sales reps brought a boatload of Aquavit and Scandinavian Babes with them to the sales meeting...funny you should mention the FN49...by the time those M47s were delivered, the Colombians had bought the FN49 chambered in .30-06....as soon as the M47s arrived they were sold to Sam Cummings of Interarms..The Colombians had also been busy rechambering their 7mm Mausers to .30-06 - A fellow Collectors Club member here in FL had myself and my bud clean his .30-06 chambered Colombian Mauser up for him...the cup style buttplate was caked with petrified mud...most likely it was used by a soldier as a walking stick in the jungles of that country...The marking "Fuerzas Armadas" mean Armed Forces...NOT as I'd also been told, "Naval Forces".
CB in FL
Hoss has a great channel!
My father brought back a arasatka back from WWII. Crazy powerful 7.7 rounds. Also it looks like the stock on the one you showed was re-finished. This was very common, just like mum being ground off. Great video man!!
Beretta licence build Garands for the Danisch army in 7.62x51 (.308). I have one.
Note to self.... Don't trust what I just heard about the thorough history of the Gatling gun blindly.....
Attracted me to this channel! Historical C&R firearms! So much history. So many stories.
Much more interesting than those generic AR videos.
AWSOME VITEO !!! Keep doing what your doing. Ps: CAN YOU SHOOT AN M1 grand?
Hi - you mentioned the caliber was 32-20. Most Cadets are chambered for the .310 Cadet round. I've had one of these and sold it recently. Thanks
NICE production, Eric! Very interesting and entertaining. Y'all have a safe trip back home, ya heah.
I See you had a great time at the antique arms show.
I have an Mosin Nagant ex sniper rifle I would like your opinion on what I have done. You can find it on TH-cam under My Slide show Of My Custom Mosin Nagant 91/30 1943.
Thanks
Wayne
I've watched a lot of your videos Eric, but I have to say that I enjoyed this one the most. Thanks for bringing us along for your side trip with The Hoss!
Nice job! On that chrysanthemum on the WW2 Arisaka... these were ground off at the end of the war by US ordnance much like many German pieces had any sort of swastika (proofs, etc.) punched or ground off by the Russians after capture.
Poor Eric
I want to buy this but I'm broke
I want to buy this one buy I'm broke.
Damn, I want this one too buy I'm broke.
I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now. Eric, with yourself being somewhat of a connoisseur of all things firearms, defence and all round shtf sort of situations. I've had a fascination with 'the guns that won the west' the lever action rifles, ever since watching The Duke popping and crunching his way through his films. How would the old rifles fair in the scheme of things today? (I'm ex British Military so I've fired a few rounds competently) How practical would one be? (ammo available etc)
Great, great channel by the way. Keep educating brother.
Ubique Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt
Nice. I was wondering what I saw you guys getting lol. Someone could easily spend a lot of money there if they have it. Some really awesome stuff to be had there. Some of the coolest things I think was an actual 4 bore rifle, close to the Turnbull table if I remember correctly, a few Borchardt C-93 and Bergmann 1896 pistols, which I swear I will own someday. Also in the big room with all the 20k-100k+ rifles and shotguns room there was a beautifully engraved double barrel bolt action rifle in .416 which I thought was just absolutely amazing.
At 1:42 I think that was a M1819 Hall breech loading rifle. It was kind of blurry but It was right before the Kentucky style flint lock
I'm still debating if the Gatling invasion story was a joke or not. The dude seems serious, but Eric is laughing it off. Either way, being from the city and country in question, nothing was burned down in 1902.
I wasn't jealous of you guys being at Shot Show, but I am now! Love those old historical guns. Art that you can buy and use...LMFAO at Hoss and the bear..
Eric, you showed a rifle back there on this video, which you said was a Martini action, ( I think that's what you called it ) well I have one similar to that and it uses a cartridge which was described as 25/27 caliber. My rifle was given to me by my father and this rifle is in excellent condition. However I don't know where to get ammo. for it.
Would you have any suggestions where I might look ?. Being in Canada, and the fact that ammo. cannot come across our borders, can you suggest who I may get in touch with ? I would sell this rifle, but I want it to go to a true collector.
I can give you a fair bit more info. on this rifle if necessary.
Thanks for these videos on Shot Show 2014.
Only gun show that REALLY don't background check lmao..
Thanks guys you just gave me a starting value for my old 1884 Mauser next to my fireplace.
***** 1:40-1:49 killed me hahahaha "brain malfunction, must ingest more fuel"
Very interesting stuff. And I'll be the entry fee for the antiques was a lot less than the SHOT show!! LOL!!
Thanks for giving us a quick look at those Turnbull guns brother. I really admire the work they do with classic firearms, I don't know that I've ever been more impressed with restoration work! Maybe one day they will be in my budget... great work guy's!
Eric: you & Hoss were great. What an excellent vid & your knowledge of guns was very educational. Makes you really appreciate the old ones just as much as the new ones from the Shot Show. So thanks and again for the excellent vid.
If i buy a flint lock blunderbuss can i shoot pea gravel(also know as #9) out of it? I don't mean a pristine piece of history blunderbuss more like a 120 dollar with chipped stock.
Everybody from Nevada knows people aren't from around here when they pronounce it, Nu vah du.
if you guys would have hit up the Blackjack tables before you shot this video , you could have bought something
I would love to see some of your older firearms in your collection!
Thank you very much for taking us through the Antique Gun Show !!!!!
So 702 has an In-N-Out nearby.... hmmmm... Did you guys try a 4x4?
This is way more interesting then the "new" stuff in your other shot show vids.
Was that the author & collector, RL Wilson, walking behind you in the early part of this tape???
if you like guns in german, they call you terrorist or something stuppid.
sorry vor my write.it is just scool englisch.Enjoy!
Thanks Eric and Hoss for sharing these fine firearms and their history with us. Thanks guys. I would not have ever been able to see firearms like this if it wasn't for you guys sharing them with us. Thanks again.
I could watch hours of this. With only scant refinement, you could make a killer series out of this concept. Put Barry in the mix and it would be gold.
Excellent choices to spotlight. I learned something. Thanks.
thanks for clip. History is always very important. Here in Germany we also make historik meetings.
LOL at the 1902 invasion.. Cracked me up..
The good stuff
Eric if you DO have a Springfield trapdoor i'm looking for one.
i think those mounted guns was used to mainly repel boarding and kill enemy crew before boarding not for solid shot
do youtube ads know i purposely DONT buy those products because they annoying as all hell girrafe and pay good money to do so.
I'll take one of those Springfield trapdoors off your hands for $60, Deal?
ya the Tim Horton coffee drinking mail men were no match for the big mac eating Americans
( good joke lol )
ah there's a few Arisaka's here in SoCal at my local store, Fieldtime. check the consignment section they are decently priced. though the most beautiful one Ive seen in person 2 years ago is sold. had the the emblem intact and the most rich bluing i ever seen i have a feeling it was redone but if i bought it i doubt id put anymore than 80 rounds in it. it'd be more of a safe queen as much as i hate doing that.
thats funny Eric i have 2 comon things with this video
1st i live in toronto
2nd i have a beautiful M1 garand back home (not in canada)
thank u man keep it up
Great comment on garand.im in canada and its one of my goto home defense...8 rnd clips stored indefinitely. ...and imagine the media weinies trying to put someone down for defending themselves with a 60yr old rifle....thats not a so called asslt weapon...great videos cheers
Stay away from hossusmc. He only has a channel for the perks of receiving free swag to talk about.
Awesome to see a video with both of you. How did you become so knowledgeable about all old and new firearms? Besides your service for the country
New and tactical guns are cool but I have a sweet spot for the old milsurp/antique firearms.
Where could I buy an M1 Carbine? @iraqveteran8888
I live cali I was looking for M1s perfect to bad im leaving for a few months.
I REALLY LIKED THAT YOU GUYS SPENT SOME TIME WITH DOUG TURNBULL, I'D LOVE TO SEE MORE HIGH QUALITY CUSTOMS FIREARMS ON YOUR SHOW
I think this is my favorite shot show video from anyone for 2014 so far! I just love the old one's.
damm i would love some of dem guns but in iceland the only guns i can buy are 8 mm riffles bolt action and pump action or semi auto 12 gauge shotguns :(
