I've just seen 'Lalla Ward interview 9 March 1966 A Whole Scene Going (dir John Crome)' Being an artist myself, I love watching others at their craft. To see that film was a wonderful surprise to see her at an easel.
Both The late Mary Tamm & her gave a real thing that a,being can a time lady could b a time lord. All people & Jodie Whitaker have 2 give it up 4 her that a woman can & is Doctor Who as the title role as the Doctor !
Wrong. The Doctor is and will always be a male character. What the current show runner has done is retcon an entire established show history for the sake of being "progressive". As far as female characters go as being timelords. It was established long ago and never a contentious idea. That's where a female time lord show should've been drawn from and created. Either by using Romana or the Doctors daughter or a brand new female character. Nobody would have had an issue with that. Taking an established character and gender swapping them is lazy. As the ratings and backlash have proven it was a massive mistake.
She has aged very well.

Nice to hear from Lalla Ward. I would of liked to hear her talk about working with Waterhouse and Baker again but still a good interview.
Warning: If you here her talk about Matthew Waterhouse, you better be in a nuclear bomb shelter!
Clever lady, I still love her smile.

I would have married her too in the 70s.
Im sad that shes old
So Am I
Well, she's only 69. By today's standards, that is late middle aged. At least, she's still here, 40 years later!
@@coloneljackmustard 60+ is already seniority in today's standards.
@Aunchient Pistol What about Laura Solon?
