Was there when they made this episode. Went inside the TARDIS, was smaller on the inside than outside and smelt of fibreglass. glass. This was in November 1983. Janet and Mark signed my copy of the Dr Who 20th Anniversary magazine. Thank you for uploading this episode of Pebble Mill at One. Bought back memories.
Yes, she was a beautiful, well spoken, kind and incredibly talented woman who left this world with so much undone and could have become so much more. But she will always be our Romana I.
@@TheCrippledEgg i though Nicola Bryant pretended to do an American accent at the audition because they were only casting people with American or canadian accents and that was y she had to keep the accent off screen? It is really weird how everything seems to have happened in different ways.
Why wasn't this included on a DW DVD? I'm thinking it may have been nice to see it on The Kings Demons if there wasn't room with The Five Doctors (Btw, four part version for the Blu Ray release [hint, hint]). Nice upload.
This is the start of Janet Fielding's weird hairstyle that would mature and reach its peak in the Jim'll Fix It Sontaran story (but let's not go there...)
Both ladies were gorgeous, each one with her own style.

I'd have to agree with that. I thought that when I was 5 years old and I think it when I'm 50 years old.

Thanks for sharing this. I never knew this took place or existed so super great to see it pop up on TH-cam. Great clip.
Mary Tamm's Fit And I Like Her Voice!!!!
Estonian accent.
Once again.She was English.
Mary Tamm is surprisingly unknown in Estonian although she was pure Estonian by origin and had significant Estonian accent too.
She was born in Bradford. With Estonian parents.
"The yellow Whomobile"? Think he is mixing up Bessie (the yellow roadster) with the silver Whomobile.
Oh wow... Janet Fielding's accent. I heard she was doing this because she was worried at the time of being typecast. It sounds much more Aussie now.
maybe. they did make Nicola Bryant pretend to be American.
