So exquisite. A masterpiece. I agree with randysgutful2 also my favourite from her latest album. The lilting emotions are palpable and when HHawkline's keys come in.... oh my goodness. Gorgeous work.

Same, I found the rest rather disappointing...which was a bit of shock after Party, but hey...she doesn't need to please anyone.
This song really is stunning, I prefer this version to the album version even.
@@mrspare4460Spare wow disappointing? I'm a brand new fan, the Barrel is the first song I heard of hers. I've been playing tracks 1 thru 5 on a loop non-stop. I haven't gotten to the rest of the album yet because those first 5 songs just speak to me. I'm really excited to dive into her back catalog though. If Party is even better that makes me very excited
@@mrspare4460 At first I was disappointed after the first 2 listens but then after leaving it and listening to after a bit in the bath it was amazing, apart from damn all the songs I thought were great

I am an Aldous fan but this sounds like Birds by Imagine Dragons
Maybe the beat is similar but you could say that about a lot of songs and these were released at similar times so its doubtful they even knew of either. Besides the melody is 100% complete different so im unsure what exactly you are inferring.

It was killing me where I’d heard this melody before. Then it just popped into my head. ‘Hit the city- mark lanegan and ph Harvey. Obviously the guitar is fuzzed up but it’s the same melody and phrasing
