I use the waste ends to strengthen loose screw holes, especially in concrete screws. Put a little piece in the hole then insert the screw and tighten up.
Using a long nose pliers when tightening the cable ties, by rolling the pliers around the end of the cable tie at the ratchet end, can pull the cable tie extremely tight, when necessary as on the hose pipe joint You could have used boiling water to heat the hose pipes, both at the same time, a lot safer and avoids burning or blackening of the hose and a lubricant to sliding the hose over the plactic conduit. Then, placing two extra cable ties between the two cable ties on either side of the join, stops, or prevents the hoses pulling off the conduit join. If the cable tirs are wound 2 or 3 times around the wires or cables, they can be re-used if cut, instead of wasting the cut-off ends The ends that are cut off can be reused with wall plugs if the holes are drilled too big as spacers.. The holes cut into the coke bottles should be smaller to prevent over spillage when trying to get the washers, nails or screws out If the openings are cut on the cone section, more items can be stored in the bottles, and it's easier to put the items in the openings.. Placing a piece of hose pipe or conduit on the bottle carry cable tie, especially in a 5lt botte, makes carrying so much easier

I LOVE the hose clamp idea. Coincidentally I am putting new fittings on custom length garden hoses today! I HATE those metal screw strap clamps! The hose is black and I have black ties, so this looks much neater :) .

How often have you cut a piece off a full bag of cable ties and then they always spill out when you put them away or need them again. The very first idea, cutting the bag right in the middle is just pure genius.

@@kbays92 you do not need zip ties for f'n pop. The design is already there to hold the can. Go ahead and waste plastic because you need a f'n handle for a $0.05 aluminum can
I wasn’t aware there are cans designed for disabilities! Having a brain tumor is causing use of my hands to decline. This hack is amazing for assuring I don’t drop cans & bottles! It can help people with Parkinson’s & other handicaps remain independent & a keep a sense of autonomy! There’s absolutely no need to be so rude; hopefully you never need this hack!

Any opinions on the newer cable ties that are reusable? They have a small extension on the locking tab that can be squeezed to open the ties. Wondering if they are as strong or any other concerns. I am thinking they would be useful to lock something closed that you occasionally need to reopen without having to replace the tie.
You can use cable ties as string trimmer cord if you happen to run out and have a machine rated for thick line, like a 45 cc and upwards. It's quite good at ripping through scrub like brambles.
Here's a better tip. Buy elastic hair ties instead. They're tiny, reusable bungee cords. The headband style is strong enough to hold bigger tools. The small ones can hold your phone or your zip ties 😊

😃😃 " Another interesting technique involves using one or two cable ties to create a figure-eight shape. Here's how you can do it:
First, take two cable ties and form each one into an 'S' shape.
Then, manipulate these S-shaped ties to create a figure-eight ( 8 oo ∞) configuration.
Once you've formed the figure-eight, you'll notice that it creates two circular openings (the two 'O's of the 8).
These circular openings can now be used as passageways for your wires or cables.😁😁
