To be out-wheeled by a robot you decorated to make it look like your company’s product. If you do AI, showcase AI. Oh, well..
No think about it, if you drive constantly on wheels, your maximum linear speed will only ever be the maximum turning speed of the wheels at their given radius. By also coupling steps on top of the wheels turning, it can propel itself even faster! Imagine riding a bike but you could push off each wheel for added speed
