It's nice that even in the book of such horror with corrupt businessmen profiting off of desperate people and governments blind to the real threat the zeds were, it still gave us stories of people acting selfless and not being total cunts. Most books about apocalypses are just misery porn showing "oh how horrid and evil man truly is" and "Oh it might be better if humanity died out" forgetting that Humans can be kind even in the worst scenarios.
The only part of this book that made me said was the dog handler guy that talked about what happened to the puppies that were left in the kennels. Couldn’t sleep right after that
There needs to be moments of light and hope throughout all the misery. In my mind the misery is what makes those little moments of light all the more meaningful.
I agree, one thing the book captures perfectly is that humanity has the spark for survival, resistance and rebuilding, but that it took a long time and a heavy price was paid in order for that spark to grow and organize.

To be fair the good people die first in tragedy for they are the ones to help
The ocean is scary and dark as is, the zombies are just the cherry on top
This was the hardest story to read besides the one about going north
@@commissaryarrick9939 going north was horrifying considering zombies weren't really an element
@@TheCandyHole for me it’s the anticipation
WWZ turns the ocean into a complete nightmare.
so scary you can see it all in your minds eye
@@wwzaudible I have a weird visualization thing and this one was hard to read visualizing as I read was scary
@@wwzaudible This to me is the book that shows you ALL the reasons why an apocalypse is NOT a fun occasion. Its fucking terrifying.
As if the ocean wasn't already the scariest thing ever
poor whales 😢
wonderfully narrated, i could imagine the scenario in my head, such a dreadful situation to be caught in...
Even if the ship isn’t Canadian anymore their crew will still be nice
This is one of the coolest scariest chapters in the book
They say "you understand?" A LOT in these.
Now that I pointed it out, you will notice it, too. My curse is yours, now, you understand?
Ya know this is kinda nightmare full
