    I've never seen the outside of a bearing split! 😯🙁 Fortunately, you got an improved feeling by buying a new engine 🙂 Cant wait to see what is it.

    Same thing happened to my FX at 3l. Same thing happened to a guy at the track at 0.5L. Mine survived, just a little scratch at the front of the crank. The front bearings are trash. Must be replaced with NSK when new. Other than that, best engine money can buy. Mine's at about 110L and running strong with just one pinch at 80L and bearings.

    • @kings-racing
      @kings-racing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Damn, 3 and 0,5L is seriously fast. Never heard that. I'm replacing front bearings every 12L since they aren't expensive. Been told rear bearing at 20-24L by advice of a racing team. On my 301ec i did the rear bearing at 40L. And that ceramic bearing was still feeling good. it's now at 55L and still running strong. Never had a issue.
      My 303 had only about 18L when this rear bearing screwed it up. I did replace the front bearing already.at 12L.
      This rear bearing died really fast if you ask me. Damn

      @leandrodomingues50 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ouch, now you got me worried. Mine’s only got about 3L on it but now I’m thinking of replacing that rear bearing. I was going to replace the front bearing anyway, that sucker leaks badly. I absolutely love this engine but FX really need to improve on bearings quality.

      Use NSK 607-DDMC3 for front bearings and keep both seals on. Costs 3€ and completely transformed my nitro game. Lasts much longer than anything else I've ever tried. Need 0.5l break in as the factory grease creates drag.

    Wow that caused a bit of a mess, its had a good run though 😊 on to the next as they say

    • @kings-racing
      @kings-racing  ปีที่แล้ว

    A very expensive loss!! Now i understand why is not worth rebuilding it, piston, sleeve, conrod, bearings, cranckshaft.....whast that the stock bearing ?

    • @kings-racing
      @kings-racing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, not gonna rebuild it. It was the stock bearing. Was going to replace it after that raceweekend. Too late😔😔😔

  • @jbrc1322
    @jbrc1322 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dang, that's a shame my dude... any thoughts what caused the premature bearing failure?

    • @kings-racing
      @kings-racing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah really a shame, any thoughts are speculations , but i did run the 303L crank in here for a while and that runs on very little fuel. Perhaps too little lubrication. There is a limit in fuel use and run time. Or fabrication error, who knows. All speculation, but definitely will be running the 303L a little richer from now on. Maybe a running time of 10:30 comes at a cost and you need to change the bearings a lot sooner.
