The only thing I have against a sprint car with that kind of power is they're so short wheelbased like a gocart extremely fast yes indeed and also extremely dangerous very lightweight because of the wheelbase but also more way dangerous than full chassis full bodied late model dirt car
Dad keeps looking at Vegas henry j's an Opel GT s for drag cars because they're lighter and have a shorter wheel base I understand as far as weight to horsepower transition and speed but safety is always number one we can always replace a car we can never replace a Father or a Mother a loved one
exactly. not too "baffling" when it doesn't have to spin a heavy flywheel and pressure plate assy... unbolt the torque converter from your flexplate and your motor can rev cool like this too! ...well not quite as cool, but... it would be VERY noticeable
@@rickkroening5282 It's a good theory, but nah... listen to an older carbureted one and they rev the same... the reason they rev so "fast" is, sprint cars are direct drive, and do not have clutches or flywheels in them. That's really all it boils down to. If you had a pretty decently hopped up small block or something, with just a light flexplate on it, and run it, it'll sound snappy when you rev it as well, until you bolt the heavy torque converter to it.
Yes like in other comments there's nothing like 15 to 1 compression well over 800 lift cam on methanol with the best rotating parts there are and of course God bless Donovan what a sound and I'm a drag race fan more than anything
I seen this vid a while ago, just realised now that the pitman arms are both on the RH side coming out of the steering box and not on the left, is that because there’s not enough room for the combo arms to fit on the left side of a pavement car?
Nobody loves that quick throttle response more that the guy driving. He's about to wear that linkage smooth out. LOL
super tight rev nothing sound better then a sprint car

never get sick of that sound
I’m baffled not only how quick it revs, but more so how quick it drops back to idle

It's has no flywheel, just a harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft. All rotating assembly is lightweight and balanced..
2 eargasms with no cigarette break in between. Sweeet !!
Amazing throttle response!
hey i have a working theory now after reading your comment. my peanut brain concluded the individual throttle body's give it that response. Thank you

Sounds awesome at idol, but I love to hear them nail it coming out of the corners...
I should have this as my ringtone :)
I have this as my ring ton
I just got a stiffie haven't had one in years👍🙂

I don't know what sounds better a sprint car or the sound of a rocket going off the launch pad
Insane throttle response
Gotta love super high compression and lightweight rotating assembly to get that crackhead revving
In season I can hear these cars and motors running on the track about a mile and a half away from my sons house.
Crisp and clean.
Love that sound
Hell yeah
Pavement sprint
Engler injection all the way baby!!!
It's just heavenly definitely cures my depression
MEAN ASF!!..I live in Anderson by Anderson speedway..ive seen ya run their and Winchester..you always have a badass lookin sprintcar
What a machine god damn!
Good looking hot rod
Need one one of them motors that runs on 93 for my daily driver.....
there is no motor. motors run on electricity and engines run on fuel.
Same
That's Litt.
ReMiXDriZzY777 hahahhaa I was thinking the same thing when I seen his name 🤣🤣
I'd love to build one with a blower just for fun
yeah.... that'd probably "blow 'er right up" though with that compression ratio. hehe, but yes, changes could be made and it would be awesome, I agree
I only wish there was smell-o-vision to go with this. Missing that methanol smell.
dang. i can smell the ethenol
Nice angry sounding motor
I love the smell of methanol in the morning!
🎧🤘
Fuckin savage motors
I like the silver crown cars
Get a dirt sprint car now
How come the second car has a roll bar by your right shoulder and the first car doesn’t have the bar ?

sean henderson yes due to off set of frame for pavement
Dude were is that motor ???

Motor engine same thing
Jesus christ these are the badest cars that turn left fuck that's roudy
Dirt sprint cars are better
Anyone know why the second car has those bars thst wrap around the driver? Never seen that before
Chris Coleman They’re just extra driver protection and stiffens the frame up a bit too.
ok thanks. looks a lot safer that way since the sides of sprint cars are so open.
no flywheel?
Direct drive
