    I didn’t expect that 670 to be so strong right out of the gate. Seems stronger than a lot of 70cc+ saws already. Wish I had Echo’s new 7310p (73.5 cc) to send you. That would be interesting to say the least.

    Nice WOOD time to cut hopefully you drop something with it. I personally have always liked echo never had a problem. I tortured my 300T for 21 years before it overheated. Which was 100% my fault i ran out of bar oil and didn't want to come down fire wooding 14" wood in the tree with no bar oil 🤬🤬. And never had the top end off it was a good saw that i want to rebuild.

  • @aaronneher4860
    @aaronneher4860 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My 670 never ran that good lol wish I still had it but it had a pretty gnarly score on the piston and cylinder. Along with needing new AV mounts. Ditched it for an 034 to 036 build. Might not have the torque of the 670 but she’s a dandy for a 60cc. Wish I could buy every saw I want

    I'm the kind of person who has to dive deep into anything I do mechanically. I was a wrench for my first profession before I moved to design engineering. The wealth of information here is quite unusual to me. Like someone mentioned, uncompressed. You get to hear and "feel" the process. The tuning tips alone are such an asset. Really a great job. This is the first time I've subscribed and followed a real time development and I'm hooked!!!

    Was that a tramp stamp I see, what kind of show are you running here? Saw looks strong, interesting to see how the tune changed as the rings seated. She wants more juice. The temptation would be to test it in some big wood when it shows such good potential. I admire your restraint.

    I am not saying that you are at all wrong you are a far better builder than me but I am just putting some food for thought out. A 2 stroke builds heat when it idles buy design a chainsaw cools better at rpm both exhaust evacuation and flywheel. Idling a saw for a long period during brake in allows heat to build. If you bring the rpms up gently and down gently it will seat better. Not max rpm that would be bad but think of it like braking in a flat tappet camshaft you don’t want it to idle but also don’t want max rpm. A very knowledgeable man showed me to heat cycle a 2 stroke multiple times by starting run it at like 3 though rpm till it is completely warmed up shut down cool off completely do it a few times then run it for a tank easily. After that first tank run it like normal

  • @BWGpolishing
    @BWGpolishing 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video! Very informative! And you’re right, everyone’s got a different view on break in. Years ago when I raced bikes, we would pull the plug out, and kick them over 200 times, jet Em and race them. Never had one come apart, but I’ve learned a time since the 80s. Heat cycles mean a lot! Keep up the good work!!

    I have the same saw and have used for about 10 years and has been a great powerful saw and it always needs 5 pulls to get it started first time in season and then it’s 1-2 pulls it’s a very strong saw out of the box.
