A Dutch pour? Me? I sure did!

  • Hi everyone, welcome! So glad you're here❤️
I'm uploading this video from my phone, which I never do with long format videos BUT, I didn't feel like I needed to edit such a quick little video. I was working on cleaning out my studio because I got a new cabinet for storage and was preparing to throw out the stuff I never use. A couple dozen regular pour paints all mixed were sitting around for so long I didn't think they'd be usable however I was wrong. No clumps, no smell, no off colors so I decided to use them. I also rarely use the canvases I have so I figured, what the heck, let's go! I do love dutch pours but it's hit or miss for me. Mostly miss lol. This time I think it turned out really unique and pretty. No mud and no faded looking colors, a nicely blown out center and really appealing movement. I still have plenty of leftover paint so I may as well show off what I can and can't do well! The next several videos will have a mix of blooms and other types of fluid art so stay tuned! Thank you for being here!🩷🩷🩷
My pouring medium for regular pour paints is still one part gloss gel to 4 parts American floetrol, water to thin once paint is mixed in.

Nice Dawne, you’re braver than me with the Dutch pour, although I do this in trays only with the bloom recipe. I’m gonna have to do that again, hmm you’ve got me thinking now!!

I really like this!! The colors look to have blended nicely and you have a great composition.
