I think I can add some perspective as someone who's not a native english speaker. The Portuguese dub was great! Due to its lack of movement, the dubbers could make a prime localization/translation of the work. The graphics might not be great, but this choice enabled another aspect of the game shine!

As Dusk Falls is it's own game, it's not following the events of a previous game, it's starts with this game, and it ends with this game, and since this is it's own game, they can chose whatever art style they want for the game, if the fisrt Silent Hill was different from the get go, it wouldn't be as much of a problem as it would be right now, since it was the FIRST one, the base would be different, but it would still be the base. This rule does not aply to As Dusk Falls since it's the "first" game. You're trying to compare Telltale's batman games with the Batman Arkham franchise, two very different games, you can't make that comparisson. This game started as a indie project and they used the free version of unity. Microsoft later acquired the game and the studio after playing the game.
