Well, okay, they share the #1 top spot with Def Leppard, but they are tops with me.. Duran Duran was my VERY FIRST concert I ever went to... 9th grade, 1983 (Hometown, Austin, TX) so.. they have a lot of good memories for my teenage years.
Odd how Simon's voice hasn't aged a bit, if anything, it has evolved. Different yet familiar. The rest of the group isn't even close to losing their touch either. Absolutely astonishing
When I first heard Simon singing the high notes towards the end of this song on the original recording in full voice, I knew he was/is special, and to hear him belting it out at 63 years of age is astonishing.
Absolutely fabulous! To hear a wonderful band keep up with the times. I mean in the early ‘90s when things changed to grunge and alternative was fading, it’s great to know that bands like them could still make music so beautifully written and done! Hits you in the heart!
LeBon is one of the very few lead singers who can still sing most of their songs in their original key! Phenomenal! Totally underrated!
