This may be the biggest corruption scandal in Ireland in your lifetime, but you're young. Me, in my 70's I've seen a lot worse than this in Ireland.
Who the biggest thief. The person that doesn’t pay a tv license and is sent to jail or the license authority RTE who is full of financial corruption on a large scale and are given pay rises. A yeah a great little country.

Don’t forget the ‘free’ TV licences. RTE are gifted over €50M of Taxpsyers money on behalf of Free TV Licence Holders. I’m a pensioner and don’t watch RTE but The Government decided without my permission to pay €160 per year to RTE plus all other Welfare recipients and that’s without the rest of the fee paying citizens

I never said every one who is affiliated with the RTE Is bad. But you cannot seriously tell me acknowledging all the stupid stuff they have wasted thousands of Euros on. It's a joke to expect people to pay their TV Liscence in a cost of living crisis and RTE spend the money as if they have a god given right to be untouchable. Sure there are workers and individuals in the company that are decent people. But those guys who are on 200k plus a year is a joke

At least in the uk we dont get adverts on bbc channels with the tv licence. No wonder 37% less people paid the tv licence in Ireland last year.
