    What a good testimonial for nuCamp and the Cirrus camper. You guys have extracted a couple of lifetimes of equivalent normal use and it's "still ticking" and not leaking.
    Your ownership of the Cirrus 920 is one of the reasons my wife and I bought our Cirrus 820 last year and we took good notes on your mods.
    Good luck with the 5th wheel and we look forward to the next few videos about your next adventures in it.

      What a lovely comment, thank you! Our 920 is now with its new owner and I wish them many more years of enjoyment.
      It’s a well built unit and NuCamp has been a great to work with over the years. Highly recommend to anyone!

    As a professional retired whole seller for cars and trucks. NOT CAMPERS! I say always go factory. I can't tell you of the cars I've bought in auctions, then someone put odd, extra big tires and very expensive I might add. It always hurts the sell. So I would hunt factory tires and wheels. HOWEVER, you might find someone that understands the battery system and other things you added. I just paid 70 grand for a Norher Lite 10/2 DB. So in my opinion, you have your camper priced right. Good Luck to you both! Oh great video, pointing out EVERYTHING!

    I would say that your camper is in better condition being used and cared for daily than one that has been hardly used and left unattended, especially if it was not stored in a climate controlled critter free environment.

      @@Stonyboot We just purchased an Artic Fox 1140 to augment our Grand Design Solitude 310 GK 5th wheel Keeping both. We predominately use our fifth wheel for winters in Florida and use the truck camper to take shorter trips during the summer and possibly a future trip to Alaska. ( would in no way take our 5th wheel to Alaska) We live 15 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway and have many campgrounds that we cannot access with our big rig. Bigger is not always better. 😎😎

    • @Stonyboot
      @Stonyboot  ปีที่แล้ว

      We love the space of our 5er. But yeah, it’s not the adventure rig that a truck camper can be.
      At some point, we’d like a normal house and then just take trips in whatever RV we have at the time.

    My wife and I are considering going with a truck camper. If you don’t mind can you maybe give us a ballpark on the total cost of your battery upgrades to allow you guys to be off grid for so long. Think you said you were able to go days with your current set up. Just found your channel and really enjoy your content. Thanks for sharing your camp life with the world. Awesome work!!

    • @Stonyboot
      @Stonyboot  ปีที่แล้ว

      I spent $8-9k I had the batteries custom built (and now they are everywhere for less than I paid) and did all the work myself. I wasn't planning to go to 1200 AH, but it just worked out that way. If I had to do it again, I'd go with a victron 3000 watt inverter, lynx distributors and a few other details would be different. But if you shop sales and learn as you go, you can do things relatively cheaply.

    • @Stonyboot

      Both were amazon purchases. The sink was discontinued, but there are similar ones available. Also, the faucet was discontinued, but I found an even better option that is the same size. I just installed it in our 5th wheel and we LOVE IT! amzn.to/4473Eg2
