When I first got into machining I purchased several cheap holders over time, and each one was just awful. I thought it was me, that I would never be a machinist. I also found out the cheap ones break when you try to crank them down tight enough not to slip. Finally, after a recommendation like Chuck is giving here, I bought a Noga. It is everything the others are not. With the knob loose you just put your indicator (or whatever) where you want it and tighten the crank. Smooth, simple, little thought required. I gave away all the cheap ones, and eventually got another Noga to use for centering in the mill spindle. If you don't have Noga holders, just do it. Immediate and lasting happiness... (no connection with Noga, just a very happy customer!)
Now that I have actually watched all the video: Happy Birthday Chuck! And a note that companies that make the best products tend to have good to excellent customer service. Or maybe the customer service drives them to make good products.
No Howie?!! Happy Birthday just the same! You have more nogas than me. I wish Noga made a size in between their large holder and the big boy. Something with twin 8in arms would be perfect.
Happy Birthday Buddy! I have coveted a Noga for a while, just not in the budget right now, besides my birthday has come and gone. Have a great day tomorrow Chuck... Jim
Stop coveting and pull the trigger. The best buy you can do if you are a serious (or not) machinist. I never looked back. I'm on a pension and I have the FAB and the mini. The FAB equipped with a regular DI and the mini with an Intrepid.
Happy birthday Chuck, many more! Noga seems to have details others don't, great stuff.

The problem with birthdays is that as the numbers go up we get OLDER!!! I am 70, sometimes feel it it if not thinking it.
