After applying tamarind water on wall shall (after 24 hr)wash the wall again by fresh water or keep it unwashed and apply dam guard or similar product before plastering.

Some time 5mm thick layer approx (in site they can't wait too much after completing of block work 14 days approx some time less also plastering start but with during these period no efflorescence effect ) what to do sir
