Really informative video. I am from Kolkata. I have two storeyed house. Room walls of second floor have serious damp and efflorescence problem. So as per your advise plaster of exterior walls facing road should also be removed and treated with tamarind water like inside walls of the rooms. Am I right please advise. Thanks.

Great. As you discussed in a point thst efflorescence on the wall near the floor takes place mainly due to saturation of water on the ground and rises gradually towards the upper direction. But, I encounter these phenomenon on the upper floors of high rise buildings while I'm on structural audit. Why it happens on the upper floors, say 5th floor etc. Secondly you said that, if it is in a small patch, leave it and it will spread entirely on the wall. I have experimented the same in a house on 7th floor in a building for 3 years and left that patch for 3 years. It did not spread. It was only formed at a height of approx w feet from the floor finish and the wall was not near any waterbody or wet area. Please comment your thoughts on this.

its due to the bricks used in the construction of that house.If the soil used for making those bricks contained salt or the water used for making those bricks had salt then this will happen irrespective of the floor and the presence of moisture near that area
