Biggest shock of the season so far is how proper Berger’s flat game is. That SW Bs flip was proper AF. Good game minus the Nollie hardflip call. No complaints. Joslin is a beast
felt like he called it because he called Chris' switch big flip. had pretty similar landings so it was pretty fair imo. but deff sucked to get the call cause that was prolly when Matt woulda went on a run
Man, I'm so used to Matt's competition skating. Cool to see he's got a bag of flatground tricks and a very clean style outside of his typical run routine. It's time for him to release another part.
The nollie hardflip was good, it was cleaner than Chris's switch big flip.. not saying anyone got screwed though because Chris is just too good at flat, Matt being that good doesn't surprise me either
His toes touched the ground which is always a redo on offense according to the rules. Pause and you will see it. The switch big was wonky but nothing in the rules suggests it's a redo. This kid is a very attentive ref
losing on some of the more basic tricks hurts, not that many spicy tricks but damn, Berger defense against that switch big flip, flawless. can't remember the last time that trick was in a game. Solid game nevertheless.
The kids are the best referees so far, fair and attentive and also seem really stoked to be there. Let's keep using them as refs for the rest of the season.
Idk man, if you pause it at the right time you can see that his toe was down. It was the right call because if he really did have it he shouldn't have missed it on the second attempt. @@nathanb1886
What a game! Props to Matt. Dude was popping the hell outta his tricks. Also, didnt see why he needed to redo that Nollie Hardflip, but Julien did a pretty good job. Congrats to Chris. Dude is just a beast
Berger got some steez man!!! He was soaring! I was only glad he had to redo the nollie hard after we got to see that one he made! Man that was A1 clean! I wanted to see the switch one! Joslin wears people out when he gets going like a marathon or something! Gotta respect that! No bogus tricks, just everything else! He be sweating like me tho lol!
You can tell from the that first switch back one Berger was getting in his own head, crazy how mental skateboarding is. Still, his pop was insane. Great game
You know it's gonna be a sick game when you see the video length
Also Joslin is a monster, so consistent
wasnt that good tho
I was about to comment that, 9mins long BATB with Joslin & Berger is guaranteed banger.
@@obdct5536 With the 2-3 mins battles we had lately? F yeah it's good.
@@obdct5536rightt , u can do way better though im sure of it
that was a solid game of skate, they're so consistent
Haven't seen the stats but Joslin has to be one of the most consistent guys in this thing. Just ridiculous.
so many tricks before he even missed one, and they were complicated tricks too
pretty sure he is like actually #1
@dumbdata
If this was against Jamie Griffin little Irish boy would’ve been out in 2 minutes
is there a way to actually view the stats?? i’d like to do my own analysis’s
“What’s with freedom, and having rules”
Joslin starting off with the hard hitting questions.
There is no true freedom without structure
"Without law and order, Man has no freedom." -Simpsons
reminds me of Mike V questioning the rules
Malto did the samething in round 1 😂
@@PapaUncyour mom doesn't have true freedom without structure
Matt's hardflip is so clean
If you pay attention you will see that his foot touches the ground
He is referring to his regular hardflip, not the nollie hard.@@lukcy3372
I kept replaying that. The height he got on that hardflip is insane.
It looked as if Matt got tired. If he had his bag right, he would've pushed T to T. Nice game , beautifully executed tricks all round. Good vibes
I mean he popped most tricks a bit higher than joslin. Which is very nice for us but i think that drained his energy more...
Joslin is the better athlete, including nutrition/sleep/etc.
@@AnneALiasAre you Matt's roommate? How do you know how he eats and sleeps?
@@AnneALias bro's Joslin manager 💀
Definitely looked tired but Joslin wasn't far away. He was starting to stumble a bit
That nollie hardflip was good tho
Fr
Ye, totally uncalled for. Maybe the kid thought there was a toe drag from his angle, who knows. Did a great job except for this one hiccup
I agree but it his toe did touch.
The ref was in favor of Joslin, I know that for a fact
Better than joslins switch big flip
Sounded like a railroad being built, insane skill gentlemen👏🏆🏆🏆

i had to replay it 4 times, but there is a def toe drag
@@ThisIsDownstate I couldn't tell if he fully made contact when I replayed it, but it's was super close.
went frame by frame and I think there was a drag for sure@@ThisIsDownstate

nah he toe touched
This was an epic battle nobody really lost here, both skated so well
Nobody lost except for one thing
I didn't realize what a great matchup this would be, these two against each other makes so much sense.
Man, I'm so used to Matt's competition skating. Cool to see he's got a bag of flatground tricks and a very clean style outside of his typical run routine. It's time for him to release another part.
perfect example of tiring your opponent out
(not saying this like it's a bad thing, just saying that matt looks pretty tired to me after the first 20/30 tricks)
Dude was going mostly switch too lol
wait you mean like matt's switch game isn't really good? i dont really know matt well@@OnTheGoldNZ
He pops so high... That helps, but also takes some energy.
there goes joslin one more level
This was an amazing battle, Matt is insane
Joslin is a machine!!
Best I seen Chris skate in a while, love to see it
You haven't seen him at sls sending bigger clips down sets?
Bro ripped the dew tour too
I'm so impressed with Berger's pop and style. He's gonna be a force next year for sure.
He’s been skating pro for years… skaters skate
The nollie hardflip was good, it was cleaner than Chris's switch big flip.. not saying anyone got screwed though because Chris is just too good at flat, Matt being that good doesn't surprise me either
toe drag. That's why the redo
Too much toes
His toes touched the ground which is always a redo on offense according to the rules. Pause and you will see it. The switch big was wonky but nothing in the rules suggests it's a redo. This kid is a very attentive ref
I would have accepted it, but Matt's toes touched and Joslin's didn't.
Joslin landed goofy but his toes didn’t touch. Bergs toe touched. Looks like a good call to me
This game was so sick I loved watching all those tricks get stomped!
Great game! I’m surprised Matt didn’t break a board with some of those stomps!
The height Berger gets to on his tricks is wild.
Joslin know how to play it right, that 180 variation and switch thing really a big deal. Kudos to Matt for being a tough competitor.
Best one yet. Both amazing skaters!
This was a seriously consistent game, loved it!
Really satisfying one to watch. Final score doesn’t tell the whole story, felt evenly matched the whole time. Superb skating 🔥
Huge respect to both.
Chris is looking like he's ready for another run at championships. Man Bergers style is amazing.
They can do it all down big stairs.
Great long battle.
Consistency level really high.
losing on some of the more basic tricks hurts, not that many spicy tricks but damn, Berger defense against that switch big flip, flawless. can't remember the last time that trick was in a game. Solid game nevertheless.
matt's face after he missed the switch hardflip 😂
You could tell he knew ahaha
Watching two absolute beasts stomping around the Berrics is just what I needed today!! 😊
Incredible watching this level of skaters play a game of skate. The consistency and bag of tricks are wild.
Style points for Berger! Incredible pop on every trick, like Arto.
The kids are the best referees so far, fair and attentive and also seem really stoked to be there. Let's keep using them as refs for the rest of the season.
Such a good idea lol
What? The offensive toe drag call on Berger at 6:20 was total crap. Had a HUGE impact on this game and was a completely blown call.
Idk man, if you pause it at the right time you can see that his toe was down. It was the right call because if he really did have it he shouldn't have missed it on the second attempt. @@nathanb1886
Pause @ 6:22 and review. Back toe touch on offense. Surprised they didn’t do a replay of that one like they did Joslin.
@@nathanb1886nope, his toe touched and the sketchy one of Joslin had no touch touch at all, he reffed every trick perfectly in real time
That nollie hard flip was solid, shouldn't have repeated it
Matt's hardflip was a thing of beauty!
Great game from both sides. Switch bigspin flip on defense was sick as hell.
What a sick game!
Now I'll watch it
Finally some fair reffing out there!
Jesus! This game was fuckin solid! That sw front flip 🥶
6:21 Toe Touch on the Nollie Hard. His right foot (Regular Stance) is clearly on the ground. There is no questioning this.
I feel like kids judge better than most pros honestly
It doesn't seem like it was, but has been called by the ref nonetheless
These round 3 battles are gonna be wild, stacked with big names
the consistency on these guys was crazy!
Best sporting event of the year
Bruuuyhh the way Chris stomps his low and fast flicks is so satisfying, I could probably watch him skate all day
Sk on matt when he toe dragged on bs bs kflip it was really unseen 🗣️
Came here for this 4:32
great game, super solid!
pretty aggressive toe touch at 4:33 but the ref was not looking lol

Incredible match. Well played from both sides. Inspirational.
What’s up with the extra coverage on the referee this year?

Both in their later 20’s and still have such spring chicken legs. POP and STOMP.
Great game. One of the best yet
Accidentally watched it twice but this video is so good it was worth it both times 💯🔥
I started this on 3/4 speed by accident and it’s a game changer. Soooo satisfying.
Joslin is just so consistent...
Proper gentleman's game of skate right here - fundamentals on point from both.
I watched that big flip from Joslin like 10 times. Absolute perfection.
Amazing game fellas
Two super rad dudes, best game yet DAYUM!
Great battle!
Chris: "why is it called Freedom but there are rules?" LOL genious. 😂😂
That switch frontside flip @4:40 was one of the best looking I've ever seen. ASMR satisfying perfection 🔥🔥🔥
That switch fs and bs flip from Berger damn!!🔥🔥
Matt is one of the best. His style, pop are fire 🔥
Great session Matt !!!! ❤
redo for Berger, ok for Chris, this kid choose his side . . .
Matt is surprisingly better at defence than attack... And great jugging by the way
So much power in one video
Was it just me but did no one see that toe tap 4:32 ?????
Wow. So many clean beautiful tricks landed. Love how joslin stomps them and Berger flys with his pop
What the name of the Kid refuree!?! Best one I've seen at the berrics😮
4:32 meanest toe touch ever. Come on lil ref lol
i dont agree with Julian's rebate on Matt's nollie hardflip but other than that sick game
Chris’ recovery on tricks is insane
Before I watch I look at how long they are. 9 minute... this is about to be a battle.
Matt's switch frontside flip was the best one that I've ever seen in my whole life tbh
Joslin's switch tricks were seriously on point, damn...
Watching Joslin skate flat is an absolute treat!! 😍
Chris played strategically. Now thats what I like to see! Amazing game
Julian is the future!! Love seeing that kid, he’s everywhere!!

GREAT game!! Joslin with the consistency!
You’re still the man Matt!
One of the best games of skate I’ve ever seen 😮
Quality technicians, both of them.
Somehow this video felt longer, this battle was awesome 🔥
Good ref. Respect, kid.
He’s a sick skater
Chris just widdled down Matt - game of stamina.

“I lost my flick where did it go” 😂
That clap at the end ended this so well
Berger switch frontside flip and switch front heel was beautiful
Why did the ref call a re-do on Matt’s nollie hardflip? And not call a re-do on Chris’s switch big flip??
both insane wow what a finale
why did Matt have to redo the nollie hardflip at @6:20 it looked better than joslin's sw bigflip
