Hearing about the Experiences from different countries is fascinating. As an EMT from germany, I often find the Efforts to use voluntary and fully employed Firefighters, police and other potential First Responders to be lacking sadly. Regardless if it is basic first aid knowledge, BLS or more advanced knowledge and techniques being used, first Responders that normally catch criminals or fight fires, can resuscitate and save lives over apps or the different EMS systems in the world if they are involved in them properly. We always work so hard as medical personnel to get better, more knowledgeable and faster. But if there is someone already performing the most important, life saving measures before the doctor arrives, that can save many patients lives and I do hope that more countries will see the benefits in sharing medical responsibilities in certain life threatening scenarios.
