- I explain in the video, why 30mA RCCB circuit breaker is used in houses, home. Uses of 30 mA and 300mA residual current circuit breaker RCCB and RCCB residual current requirement for electric shock protection, and for fire protection is explained. The safe limit of the current flow in the human body and time relation is explained. The 30mA trip current for the RCCB is decided based on the human body capability of current flow and time duration. The human body can tolerate less current for long time and more current for less time. 30mA is considered safe as per test results. Protection against electric shock, Frequent tripping of RCCB is discussed. Educational video tutorial on electricity & electrical engineering, 330 by G K Agrawal (Gopal Krishna Agrawal). in my home(invidual house - 3 phase) we are using 30ma rccb but it's tripping frequently (especially in night) can i replace with 300ma directly . If not how can i split the load?
Should not use 300mA, use only 30mA. Some equipment is faulty. Locate the problem by trying by keeping few equipments off in night. May be some heater, fridge or motor.
Dear sir, is a rccb also Trip in Short circuit condition? Except for leaks.
If short ckt between line and neutral then no trip. If short ckt between line and ground then it will trip.

If there is an inverter installed in a house then there are two different line ,one inverter line and other is power line. What type of rccb Should I use here? How?
Use 30mA type RCCB in both the line.

Based on my experience in 30mA tripping must be done by 40 MS ,its advised by government safety authorities
