- MCB, MCCB, ELCB, RCCB, RCBO, RCD And MPCB circuit breaker difference
What is Isolator ?
Isolator is a switching device which offers making and breaking of electric current in a circuit, it doesn't provide any kind of protection.
What is MCB ?
The MCB is an electromechanical device that switches off the circuit automatically if an abnormality is detected. The MCB provide Protection from overload and short circuit.
What is MCCB ?
MCCB stands for Molded Case Circuit Breaker. It is another type of electrical protection device which is used when load current exceeds the limit of a miniature circuit breaker. The MCCB provides protection against overload, short circuit faults and is also used for switching the circuits. It can be used for higher current rating and fault level even in domestic applications.
What is RCCB ?
This RCCB is basically an electrical wiring device that disconnects the circuit whenever there is leakage of current flow through the Human body or the current is not balanced between the phase conductor.
What is RCBO ?
RCBO is an automatic electrical switch is used to protect the circuit from overload, short circuit, and earth fault. It is a combination of MCB and RCCB.
What is MPCB ?
MPCB are a specialized type of electrical protection device that is designed specifically for electric motor, it’s provide protection against overload, Short circuit & Phase loss Protection, it can be also used to turn ON & OFF the Motor.

I am from Pakistan your English is very good 👍
One of a most useful TH-cam video on this topic. Good job, explained well....Thank you very much for covering all the key points.
May I submit my special thanks to you brother!!!!
I really appreciate you way you deliver the amazing lecture that I've never came across before....
GOD bless you
I really, really appreciate your cadence and space between every word spoken! It can sometimes be really hard to understand what is being said when anything is spoken too quickly!
My friend you tube takes care of video speed. Its up to you to choose speed just like in Netflix.Tap the video,on your right corner see settings,,tap and down to your speed the way you like it.Thank me later.A nice video though.Welcome.
Really many thanks for good and useful information
Best video till now on this topic
TQ very much.precise & easy to understand ❤
Good information
RCBO is really good
Really helpful for students & freshers to the industries. Plz keep on making such more techinal educational videos
very nice video on smaller breakers.
Very well explanation sir, before watching your video, i know only MCB, how it works i don't even know, all those look so similar, i may have seen not only MCB, but i might be thinking those are MCB only 😂.. one like added, one new subscriber ❤
Very Good Video Sir.
Explaining this much products in single video is a great task.
There may be some technical discrepancies.
Try to correct it and update.
Very good information.thank you very much
Hi... that's very good.., some of the breakers I never knew yet Iam over 30yrs as an electrician.
Thanks very much

Nice man.way of expression very good.
Good explanation...👍
For my single phase 3hp induction motor company suggests a C20 1pole MCB, can I use 2pole C20 MCB for Neutral and live or go for MPCB ?? If MPCB which shoul I use ?? Also can I use mcb only to start-stop motor or should use DoL starter ?? Please help !
Nice informative vodeo
Very good one sir.
I really appreciate your video..
sir i have one doubt, single phase cscr 230v motor ,can i remove the starting capacitor and runing capacitor from aux winding connection.and directly two phase 415 v throgh main winding terminal ...what will happen in motor action..please suggest single phase instead two phase apply through main winding terminal ...what happens
Good presentation
Am from Nigeria,ur English is very clear.
Thanks you
Thanks for sharing ideas
Many thanks, sir.
Very informative thanks
Good information
Appreciate you
Very good presentation.. 👍
I'm new to your channel. Well explained. Keep it up
Thanks bro very good video pls more video update.
Very good video. You speak very quickly though
No need to rush for us novices 😂
Thanks for easy explanation
Really you can never stop learning. I feel like am just starting again. I just subscribed.
Thank you explaiñation simple and easy
Do you know of a breaker to handle
Direct Current 60V at 600A?
if yes please provide link
it is for a lifepo4 battery rack
the rack has 6 batteries
each can do max of 100A in and out
Thanks for your sharing

RCBO = RCD + MCB
RCBO is not known as RCD as 6:03 stated.
RCD is like RCCB...
RCD only offer protection against leakage current but do not offer overload protection...
Indeed. RCD = RCCB, not RCBO.
Rcd is different not similar to rccb as an rccb is a circuit breaker and rcd combined lol
@@user-dg5rt3mo5p No. An RCCB or RCD don’t protect against over current. An RCBO does. They all protect against residual current earth leakage.
@@user-dg5rt3mo5p RCCB do not have short circuit and overload protection.
Thanks bro. This is what i wanna know
Beautifully technically explained. Keep it up Sir
thank you from iran brother❤👌
Exllent bro. Tq very much
I like to think that the RCD is the general term encompassing the ELCB, RCCB, and RCBO. I'm very open to logical criticism as it's at the level of elites only and not parrots, who like singing what they are told. Otherwise, this was a great presentation.
That is interesting. Thanks for the comparison ang insight about this trip.
If RCD is already, is it necessary to add a prcd socket for gyser to prevent from current leaking and getting electric shock
Very good teaching
Thank you..the way u explain is easy to understand...Good Job
10/10 great work keep it up friend.
Good explanation
One of the useful and best explanation keep going ❤
Hi really liked your explanation. Real crisp and informative. My mains keep tripping every time I turn on both the geysers. I have changed the MCB number of times. What could be the problem?
Probably an overload.
You could increase the rating of the MCB or better still isolate the circuits and give each an MCB.
Good explanation. Good job sir😂🎉
Very clear explanation in simply way 🥰🥰👍👍👌👌 great
Good work from

Plz suggest how to prevent burning of motors at our farm which is caused by Palm tree branches falling on 3 phase LT line...
Very informative, thanks . Very clear explanation in simply way great.
Excellent 👍
Sometimes we have problems with grid earth which get stolen or damaged . Now two live phases are our supply instead of phase and neutral. This can damage, many electrical items. How do we protect against that. Any suggestions.
Hii brother cnc company is available at online market???
really helpful,thanx!!!

Can you help with url like where to buy cnc products
Really helpful for all guys in the technical industry
One of great videos i ever watched. Thanks
I have question
My incoming current is 240v
I have C20 MCB x 10
I have C6 MCB x 7
MCB main switch
Elcb rccb
Digital incoming volt
What else I can add to my keep my connection safe and healthy?
At 02:58, your diagrammatic illustration on RCCB contradicts the actual process. The neutral line is supposed to terminate on the left of the RCCB isn't it? I just wanted to give you an observation, please clarify.
Learnt something today RCCB
Nice job
