Well you could download really big maps, not quite the feel of an open world game, but at least you aren’t driving on a track all the time. and maybe if you have a friend who also plays you two could drive trough the la canyons for example.
no mods no use, I doubt its as detailed in modifications as Forza or has as many cars, plus Forza has street as well as track racing, ill take forza any day, also the forza Motorsport series has better graphics and physics than horizon

I’d love to have the Assetto Corsa Supra sound and customization options being added as options to Forza Horizon 4 so you can play around and get the ultimate car. I’m also thinking the same about the Volvo XC90 which in real life has the Momentum, Inscription and Excellence packages, and I’d love to have these optimization and customization options in forza motorsport 7.
Would seriously love to see Assetto add in some customization for cars. Yes, there are countless mods that adds cars, tracks etc. but being able to grab a car, customize it and then tune it to your preference is really what sells the Horizon series for me. If Assetto ever adds a progression system to unlock cars, whether through racing events which earns you in-game currency or through clearing events that rewards you with cars and a customization system so that you can customize and tune those cars to ones own preference, then I can see Assetto being the next major Esports racing game, as it would allow competition in multiple different classes with people not being tied down to a particular car with a paticular look that they might hate/dislike. The developers should really team up with some of the modders that have improved the games graphics, so that more people will be inclined towards Assetto. The game can look spectacular with the right graphic mods.
I think Assetto Corsa generally is more accurate to the sound of a 2JZ, but as far as overall mixing goes I feel like AC has better interior mixing where Forza has better Chase mixing, as those are the two cameras you'll be using most in each respective game.
In Forza it seems like the sound is captured only from the front, while in AC the sound is captured from 360° I believe, it feels more realistic. Iam talking about the sound while in the car, not outside!

Yeah man. Assetto is a completely different experience. You feel like your driving a car instead of playing a game. And If I had a better graphics card I could run everything at maximum wich would make it look waay better. I'll probly get a 2070 super in a month or 2
I usually turn to beamng.drive for good physics, not assetto. But you do you. The game is just not my taste. Where Forza lacks in physics and realism it more then compensates in every other aspect of the game.
The good thing about pc gaming are the mods. The reason why assetto corsa is so good imo is because you can mod it to sound better and look better. Now try playing forza for pc then mod it to sound better.. Which I'm sure it possible.. You'll have the ultimate game. Plus in AC you can change the spool and BOV sounds.. Chu chu chu chu.. There is mods for forza horizon 3. And they are still kinda shit. NGL you shouldn’t compare at these 2 different games. One is sandbox open word arcade another is simulation.
Literally in the first 3 min of the video, I went and bought Assetto Corsa for my PS4 because the difference was so astoundingly different. I'm legitimately blown away. I just wanted to let you know assetto corsa on console is much different than assetto corsa on pc because theres mods for pc such as cool cars , sounds , tracks , and paint jobs. This supra in ac is actually a mod so youd need a pc to play with it. Assetto on ps4 is probably still really fun but I suggest you start saving for a pc so you can get into all the cool sim racing stuff pc has to offer
@@Forsott yeah I kinda figured as much. I have a gaming laptop from alien wear that will run it. I thought about buying it there too. I probably will anyways once I'm fully setup. I want to get a Yaw vr simulator chair and make a racing station with it. Rally racing would be a blast with that setup!
@@angelvillegas3384 in my opinion, not really. It's nothing like the pc game. PC game allows mods and a much more predictable play feel where the PS4 version is kind of unrefined in my opinion. GT sport seems to be my personal favorite because it's the best balanced game on PS4 specifically. Good graphics, good sounds and a pretty solid driving experience. Not perfect but it's a pretty solid option. Assetto Corsa is alright in driving mechanics and feedback but it's not as smooth or polished as the PC. Kinda clunky if you will. Sounds are absolute garbage and that's all I have to say about that. Graphics are ok. Not good but not bad. Washed out and lacking fine details. This is opinion on the PS4 versions of both.
I just really hope that the developer will implement a fix for cars vibrating/shaking along with the instrument panels when you're on a large modded track far away from center. It's pretty immersion-breaking :( otherwise, running the C1 with people online with custom shaders in 4k with a wheel, pedals and shifter is the ABSOLUTE greatest virtual driving experience I've ever had.

BeamNG has horrible damage model, you want hard body crash physics in a game to be realistic and not soft body. Get the one from pCARS 2, it's perfect and accurate
The Assetto mod has a realistic 1500 hp sound, i.e. nervous idle, outrageously high rpm etc, but Forza's one has nicer shift and blow-off sounds. I like the interior sounds of the mod. Awesome! :)

In Forza, they probably got a few engine sounds and used a computer to edit the sounds and make them sound like different engines using only a handful of recordings. They tune a sound file to make it sound as close to a 2JZ as they can make it. In Assetto Corsa, they used specific recording directly from the prototype. 100% accurate recordings.
I feel like both sounds are quite good in their own right, but AC wins just because of how it ramps the sound up and really makes it sound like it kicking a ton of power down. Lots of small variations and flucuations while forzas sounds a little smoother through the rev range

FH4 actually has some really good graphics but I had to turn them down because my old pc couldn't play and record at high settings. Also , the cool cars , sounds , and tracks are only on pc unfortunately. But if you have a pc and a wheel definitely pick it up when you can!

This is a comparison between an arcade game and a simulator. Of course the arcade game will look better, they don't need to factor in the other things that make a racing game complete. You guys need to elevate your gaming experience and stop playing shitty arcade games and get your ass into simulators.

@@Forsott I'll be honest with you, I actually bought it during winter because there was like a 20% discount on it, but I cancelled the order and got a refund. Even with a discount I couldn't get myself to try it out. I already play Gran Turismo on ps4, and Assetto Corsa on PC. Horizon 4 just seems like a few steps back for me.
Yeah I feel it man. Horizon can be cool if you can flip the switch from sim to arcade and just enjoy it for what it is. It's pretty dope cruisin around with friends but I wouldn't reccomend it to someone who wants that realistic feel.
Everybody's talking bout mixing ac and fh4 but nobody's talking about gt sport, graphically probably the best game with the best details and sounds (yes sounds aren't that appealing but they're the most accurate ones out of almost every other racing game, the devs even updated some sounds a few times to make them better) with the exception of rain effects, here comes driveclub into the business Edit: you should go with the ac's original supra, that sounds better, especially the time attack version
Asseto traffic lanes are realistic where Forza Horizon 4 roads are super wide for Mario Kart style racing. Maybe one day we will get a racing game that has Realistic physics, open word and need 4 speed style features. Until then, I will enjoy weekend car.

This was just a terrible custom sound. There are many other great custom 2JZ sounds for AC, Forsott just chose possibly the worst one.

and also the turbo wasn't set to 90-100, when you set it to 90 or 100 the turbo flutter is much much nicer than it sounds here

Theres a sound mod which can make the engine sound even more realistic.

It's pretty simple , you just connect it to your pc install the firmware and latest drivers then you plug into your console or pc and start playing

Dirt has the general interior sound down to a T, by which I mean road noise, gravel chips, bumping and rattling of the vehicle etc. Very immersive.

FH4 sounds like the actual car while AC sounds like a muffler delete.
sounds are sadly one of assetto corsas weaknesses. cars often have brilliant idles, but then rev like synthesizers.

This is a comparison between an arcade game and a simulator. Of course the arcade game will look better, they don't need to factor in the other things that make a racing game complete. You guys need to elevate your gaming experience and stop playing shitty arcade games and get your ass into simulators.

My comment is aimed at the people that sieve through the comments. I just wanted to give them my $0.02 and hopefully persuade them to switch up it a gear and get involved in real sim racing.
@@Forsott I'll be honest with you, I actually bought it during winter because there was like a 20% discount on it, but I cancelled the order and got a refund. Even with a discount I couldn't get myself to try it out. I already play Gran Turismo on ps4, and Assetto Corsa on PC. Horizon 4 just seems like a few steps back for me.

Horizon can be cool if you can flip the switch from sim to arcade and just enjoy it for what it is. It's pretty dope cruisin around with friends but I wouldn't reccomend it to someone who wants that realistic feel.
Everybody's talking bout mixing ac and fh4 but nobody's talking about gt sport, graphically probably the best game with the best details and sounds (yes sounds aren't that appealing but they're the most accurate ones out of almost every other racing game, the devs even updated some sounds a few times to make them better) with the exception of rain effects, here comes driveclub into the business
Edit: you should go with the ac's original supra, that sounds better, especially the time attack version

Asseto traffic lanes are realistic where Forza Horizon 4 roads are super wide for Mario Kart style racing. Maybe one day we will get a racing game that has Realistic physics, open word and need 4 speed style features. Until then, I will enjoy weekend car.
