This just makes sense. Searching for tools in a bag or box is the worst and kills time. Also harder to keep tools accountable. This is an excellent way to haul around your stuff. Great work
Very nice insert, I am all about personalizing tool boxes for specific task, trade or tool. A few of the guys that I work with have been checking out this new system of tool boxes. This has made it extremely organized kudos.
Very nice and clean. I have many of the Dewalt Tough series boxes and 2 wheel cart and love them. Never thought about doing something like this for a custom insert. Thanks for sharing.
I like the “high plains drifter” no talking style:) as a flooring guy it’s hard to wrap my head around how much time it took to design all that to fit like you did. Well done!
Great custom set up I have the DeWalt ds450 rolling tool box I modified a Stanley tote on the inside Drilled holes for tool organization it can out pretty good works for me
If you buy the husky 5 gallon bucket organozer and cut it in half at the seams it is the same length as the long front and back walls of the ds450. I used pl premium and staples to attach the bags to blocks and then attached the blocks to the inside of the box using power grab and clamps. Now I have tool bag pockets on the inside of my tough system box and can still have space in the middle of the box for large tools.
Can you post a video of your idea? or pictures? Was looking into tool pallets for the walls of my Rigid rolling box. But the bucket organizer sounds even better.
Right on. looks good. After seeing your idea I looked into tool box pallets for things like the chicago cases and the pelican rolling tool box. Im actually planning to set up a magnetic strip for my screwdrivers and pliers instead of using an organizer. Will post when I actually do complete it
That is a great idea & about 10% the cost of foam...&you didn't really lose storage space. I may steal this idea for the lids of a couple of rigid organizer boxes:)
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I hate tool bags because they're not weather tight and tool boxes don't have any organization. I'm always digging for what i need. please draw up some plans and give us a link!
Steve Buscemi , I just invested $1k into the tough box system and its fantastic. the main reason was for tool storage in the van. these boxes are lighter than metal or plywood. check out the dolly system.
