Thank you! And welcome to Swedish Lapland! The Råne River is a true gem, an un-exploited river with no hydropower. I use to fly fish for salmon there during the summer.
That’s great, new mono camera and excited to see your images from mak-newt! It will be a different adventure just with the weight of the scope. But certain you will have a solution that works. Much good luck and looking forward to your upcoming images.
Thank you for watching! It will be very fun to start shoot mono! Now I really hope that the weather will be a little better, so I can get out on more adventures!
Hello, I've recently acquired a Newtonian which puts me at double focal length, only issue I've had is the effect of breeze on scope. Good luck with new camera I'm also just using 2600mc currently.
Sounds great! Yes, wind will probably cause some problems with such a big tube. It's on its way now with DHL so now I just have to wait for some clear sky! :)
That's great that you're going mono. It's a goal if mine as well but that jump will be sometime in the future. Hope you enjoy the Mak when you get it. I watch a few other channels where they use this same scope and they get very nice images as I'm sure you will as well. Hope your skies clear up soon.
Hi David, shame about the weather there! Looking forward to seeing what you can do with your new 1600 mono setup! I have the 2600mc pro like you and wonder how long it will be before I make the same move!👍 Clear skies!
The 2600MC is great but a friend convinced me that I also "needed" his 1600mm (as he has bought a 2600mm). It will be very interesting to see what I can do with the mono compared to the osc! Clear skies!
That’s quite a bit more scope to haul around, but as long as it stays in collimation and isn’t too heavy for your mount, it should be quite a Galaxy Hunter!
Yes, I'm excited to try it, and it should be fine with my mount! Hope that collimation is not a big hazzle but a friend that has a Newton has secured me that it's easy to learn to do fast. 😀
@@NorthernPanorama My solution for that is that any time i get something.. my SO gets something. She likes purses and shoes. She has a lot of purses and shoes, lol!
I have the same setup! I’ve noticed the 80ED’s focusing ring slips a lot making the zwo focuser useless. Do you notice the same thing, or is your telescopes focusing function in good working order?
I had some problems when it jammed in very cold temperatures and I tweaked a little. You can watch this video: th-cam.com/video/TBwKGGouBdU/w-d-xo.html I have also secured the small screw with loctite and it works, but I agree that it's not a bombproof solution. I use to adjust the tension in the focuser also.
Looking forward to see the results!
Yes me too! It will be very interesting! :)
Looks like all you’re missing now is the ASIAIR Pro. Clear Skies Sir!
Thank you! Actually I have one! It has helped me a lot because it was a large problem to use a laptop in cold conditions!
Wow!! what beautiful country!!! Thanks for the update David, would love to paddle the Råne River one day!

Looking forward to your mono adventure. I'm glad to see your back up and imaging. Love your videos keep up the great work.

Congrats on the cam!
I had one before the 2600mm, it's great! a real work horse!
Btw i love the music!
Thank you! I'm very excited to start shoot mono! Yes I use to choose nice music and use artlist, there is pretty much good music there actually!

Yes, it seems like a very nice tube for astrophotography! Will be fun to shoot galaxies with it! Clear skies!

Grats on the new gear!
I have a solution for you in regards of what to do with your 2600MC. Get a second mount and run both at the same time :)
I have thought about that! 😀 And maybe I will do that, but my significant other is not very impressed with all gear!

I will try that. It does not work on bicycles though, but maybe its easier with astro gear. :)

The 1600MM is an excellent camera, why not a 294MM? Thanks for the video.
Only because I got the opportunity to buy the 1600MM from a friend! I'm very excited to try it out! If only the clouds will dissapear! :)
