Growing up I'd see these haul trucks and think about how big they are. Now as an adult I work for a Caterpillar dealer and all I think is "I bet changing the seals in those suspension cylinders are a pain in the ass" haha
All of these mega dumps were once products from Am. companies, except for the Belaz. The Hitachi was from the old Euclid line once owned by different companies (General Motors, White Motor Corp., Daimler-Benz, Clark Equipment Comp. [Michigan] and last Volvo, after Clark partnered with Volvo to form VME [ Volvo Michigan Euclid].Euclid was sold to Hitachi. The Liebherr was the WISEDA before being purchased by them.Komat'su did make big trucks but not in the mega class until they partnered with Dresser to form KDC[ Komat'su- Dresser Co.] The Dresser dumps were the old WABCO Haulpak range of trucks.
The Liebherr mining truck is made in Newport News Virginia. The dump body is overseas as well as the electric drive components. I should know, I'm an engineer at the Newport News facility.
2:30 That's like something you see in sci-fi mech movies. But it's real. I wonder how big a tank truly be if it's done with current technology and revealed..
5:23 Westech beds are the best for the money. That bed on a 797 will keep you running. Just in case anyone is actually here that uses these trucks and needs to know.
I use to deliver these tires to the mines out west in Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California, Montana. I would load in South Carolina. I would load between 5 or 6 depending what size. The weight range around 45,000 lb. The cost of the load between 250,000 to 500,000 dollars. All oversize loads permit depends What HWY or INTERSTATE I would take to get at the destination. It was a interesting job every load was different. And on the back haul it would be lumber or copper or whatever they could find to get me back on the east coast. So I could do it again.
*The user-friendly interface of this machine is a beacon of accessibility, ensuring that even the technologically hesitant can navigate through its features with ease and confidence.*
But in large open-air mines it is wrong to use these means that consume, pollute and are damaged by dust (with stationary means to constantly clean up and lose money) + breakdowns. Better than the large conveyor belts, arranged in an inclined way and with sealed mechanics to prevent dust from blocking everything.
Prophet Adam was 90 feet tall and people came after that become smaller and smaller until now. So maybe at time of this prramids the people still big enough to be able to do job.
those trucks usually are loaded on semi truck hauling trailers , specially designed for wide and heavy loads , without their tires on and they are made for big mining companies , so you don't get to see one of those driving on a normal road ! Those machines spent their lives driving from the point the excavator stands and loads it , to the point of the huge crusher . Once i saw a huge excavator trying to load one of those and in the bucket was a huge boulder , as soon as the boulder touched the load surface the truck collapsed , it broke into pieces , not from the weight , but the velocity . Man that was a scary thing to see and i imagine the driver of that truck peed his pants that day
The EH5000 with an ESCO truck body is probably the most beautiful dump truck i've ever saw. Too bad there are only rare videoa you can find it on TH-cam
Though I am certainly no expert at this type of machinery's specifications, I have to give credit to Liebherr for the most attractive industrial design.
@@allentoyokawa9068 yeah they really are. we have 10 of them at the mine i work at and there is at least one of them down every day. The CAT is the best truck in this video by a mile. the komatsu's are pretty sick to
