Thank you for your honesty about your reality with vanlife! I'm only taking short trips currently until I retire from truck driving at the end of the year. I already know I'm going to struggle with the going slow. Love the 333 but going to try for more of 444. My family is all over the country. I'm excited to visit them, be able to bring my dog and still have my space with everything I need! Law is changing as of 8/1/24 for requirements of letting dogs into the U.S. (even if they're from the U.S.) so know before you go across the border! Safe travels!!
If you could go back in time (2-years) would you have gone the van life route? Would you have stayed in your stable jobs? Or would you have chosen to travel someplace else, international?
Hi Katie and Joe, my wife and I will be retiring in 2 years and are planning our van build. We have really enjoyed your content and have made lots of notes so thank you. Being that we are in our 60s safely is a concern of ours. We like the outdoor lighting the you added to the van but what have you done for self protection? We know that life on the road does have its bad apples like you’re egging” So sorry that happened” Safe travels and we will see you on the road.
