I graduated from well prestigious school with a bachelors. Not trying to spend alot on a masters because at the end of day jobs or companies care less where you graduated from . Thank you for this vid . Going to purse it and hopefully can finish it under 6 months
Thank you, I was so unsure about doing my MBA with WGU, but now with your video and the course breakdown it was very helpful.
Looking forward to hear more about the MSML! Great video
this was super helpful and informative. thank you!!!
Thank you for this video! I am also walking in Las Vegas for my Bachelor of Science Business Administration, Healthcare Management degree. Hope to see you there! Hoping to start January 1, 2024 for this MBA program!
That’s great! Let me know if you need tips for your MBA.
I am so happy I found this video. I have been debating on getting my MBA through WGU.
The course breakdown gives me less anxiety since I can know what to expect.
There’s not much to be anxious about. There are many ways to learn the material you don’t know. The benefit is you can already get credit for what you do now. You’ve got this!
I feel like I will excel in the accounting and Econ courses but the other courses I’ll suck lol 😂
Hey Mica! I love your video and it has been incredibly helpful in my WGU journey. I am now beginning my Capstone and I can see the finish line! Can you elaborate on how you were able to get the Conscious Capitalism award?
It’s all about the choices you make in the game. I just listened to the rules and put my employees and the environment first.
I received two excellent awards for my capstone. The other one had to do with how I handled the finances. Basically, I played it safe and paid attention to the competitive advantage.
hey Mina! This is extremely helpful. Did you have a bachelors in something relevant to business? I am coming from a Chemistry Degree and am nervous that, since I am not familar with business concepts, that will be a big obstacle.
Hi Gina. My bachelors was not related in anyway. I read a lot and have been in the corporate world since 2016. This helped me a lot. Another thing I can’t recommend enough is knowing your learning style and researching class resources before beginning. This will put you on the right path from the start.
Stumbled on your channel! I’m working on transitioning to be a Product Manager! I also enroll for my MBA with WGU to help with my transition! Any advice from you to me on Product Management and how it aligns with MBA program! Thank you
I do these live streams on Sunday, where I just answer everyone’s questions and I call it Study Hall. I’m going talk about this on Sunday for you and others. You don’t have to watch it live because it’ll be posted after it’s finished. It’s too much to type out here lol
Do you have any other assignments to submit aside from the final paper or project? I know you have to do preassesments to see if you comprehend the topics.....trying to figure out if each 3 credit course is 1 preassessment & 1 assignment or 3 preassessments & 3 assignments?
The only ones with pre-assessments are the classes with exams. They do you have kind of a pre-assessment or knowledge check that you can take before each class during course planning but I don’t think it’s accurate. The pre-assessments for your exam classes are reflective mostly of the test.
Each class has a different amount of work due to show that you know the subject. Some classes have three papers. Some classes have one exam. It depends on the class.
With the capstone do i submit Quarter 4 riggt after i submit my presentation and PowerPoint? Or do i wait to pass it.
Submit right after submitting the PowerPoint.
First off, congrats on completing your MBA! This video is so informative! How long did it take you to finish? Does WGU help with internships and job placement? I was told they do. Business is pretty new to me, but I will be starting my MBA in February. Thank you!
Thanks. Congratulations on deciding to start your MBA. It took me 10 days. They have a career services department, but I’ve never used it. My understanding is that they do not do placements. They just help with resume review and interview skills. You get access to a job board as well.
@@micalane Thank you for your reply. You pay for the degree, right? It doesn't matter if you finish earlier. The amount you paid is only for that degree doesn't matter if you take 10 days or 6 months, correct?
@@Moongoddessmagic that’s correct. You pay for six months at a time no matter what.
This was incredibly helpful. I have a goal of obtaining my MBA after my BA. Just to clarify, there are still pre-assessments, right?
Correct. For any class that has a test, there is a preassessment.
@@micalane Great! Thanks for responding. 🙂
Well this was perfect timing to find this video. Debating getting my MBA here but have some anxieties about it because I found this college on a random google search. Trying to find a cheap college to obtain my MBA from. If you don't mind I do have some questions if you are willing to answer them I would really appreciate it. Is it true that this college does not use GPA? How long did it take for you to obtain the MBA? How many times did you have to use the proctured exam? How many hours a week do you feel you put in?
Also if you do not mind, how much did you have to end up paying for the degree?
You have a 3.0 if you pass. There is no grade. 10 days to get my MBA but I had a lot of experience and wasn’t working. I believe I took 5 or 6 proctored exams. I worked on it for 8-14 hours per day during the 10 days. I am going much slower for my MSML. I’m working and only study on the weekends.
@@-Mint-Fox- also, I paid a little over 4k.
@@micalane Sweet! Thank you so much for replying I appreciate it. Did you use any scholarships or Financial Aid or is the college just that affordable compared to others? Originally the main set back for me getting my MBA was getting discouraged while looking at all the costs to go to other colleges. WGU seems to be different from the rest though
@@-Mint-Fox- it’s just that affordable. I didn’t get any scholarships with my MBA but I’m hoping to get some scholarships for my MSML. We’ll see. I won’t find out until about three months in. I really like WGU’s model. I’m really good at self learning so it works well for me.
Hello Mica, Congratulations on completing MBA. Thanks for the update. Very informative. I just got enrolled with WGU and have a tentative start date of September 1st. I’m currently RN (BSN) and working full-time. I am looking at completing the MBA HM at the earliest. Any course notes or materials are highly appreciated. Thank you
Best of luck. Check the description for my Quizlet folder and email for academic coaching.
@@micalane I am RN as well and I am starting my MBA on September as well.
@@user-oy5vt6gg5x that’s great. Best of luck!
@@user-oy5vt6gg5x Glad to know.. perhaps, we will be in touch.
Washing with dawn is nasty work! And no heat protectant 😅
Thank you for your vid, do you remember how many test you take in total?
I believe it’s 6.
Thank you for all those info! I have a question please, I have executive master’s degree in engineering and management, and there are common courses between my masters and the MBA, do you know if I can transfer some of masters credits to the MBA program?
You cannot transfer credits.
Hi Mica, I'm planning to take MBA in IT from March 1st onwards. Can you suggest is there any books on those subjects that I can refer before joining the course in order to complete the course ASAP.
That’s a hard one. I picked up my knowledge from years of reading hundreds of books. I think the best method for you would be tutoring for accounting and finance if you struggle with those and flashcards for the OA courses. Let me think on a few books for communication and marketing courses. Those and the first course were the easiest for me. Oh and use crash course for an economics overview.
Hi! What degree plan was your MBA in? It sound like business but can you specify what exact major in business? Thanks!
WGU offers 3 MBAs, healthcare management, information technology, and general. I went with general.
How many teams did it take for you to complete the MBA?
Also I have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, I wanted to go for an MBA also. Would it be a good choice since I have not had much experience in the courses that you discussed. Since I don’t get a Bachelors in Business. Would my fundamentals be too weak to just jump into an MBA?
Thank you. 🙏🏽
I did my MBA in 10 days. I think if you’ve worked for large engineering firms before, you probably have picked up on some of the business practices. This will make it slightly easier for you. You are able to get your MBA at WGU without having a bachelors in business.
@@micalane10 days?! That’s wild, I’m proud of you, good job. You just gave me more hope. Cool, I’ll do my best. TY!
what kind of calculator should i buy?
Texas Instruments BA II Plus... www.amazon.com/dp/B00000JZKB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
A couple questions please. What are the proctored test like? I have some pretty bad reviews.
With WGU becoming so popular do you believe it may start to be viewed in a negative light or not respected?
Thanks
Proctored exams are basically just someone intensely watching you while you take a test. I’m sure there are ways to cheat but I don’t know of any so that makes me feel like it’s pretty reliable.
I haven’t had any issues with my degree not being respected, but I’m not applying to be the CEO of Google. I got my degree for free through my employer so it was worth it for me.
I'm curious why you used a tutor for Accounting instead of making appointments with Course Instructors? Are they not very good?
Takes too long to get in with them. I wanted to finish quickly
Is the capstone an actually presentation you record or just a PowerPoint?
Just a PowerPoint
@@micalane oh ok because I always thought you gave a presentation and recorded it. I'm not a fan of writing but looking to earn my MBA.
@@robr268 There is still quite a bit of writing. It’s very doable though.
Does every class have a final test or do some classes only have tasks/papers?
@@carlosmacias3470 it’s a mix. Some have tests and others have papers or tasks at the end.
@@micalaneThanks!!! I enrolled today. Do you have to enroll in all the courses you are trying to complete in 1 term or can you continue enrolling throughout the term if you finish classes before the term passes?
@@carlosmacias3470 You’ll enroll in them as you complete classes. You get the first three that you need to complete in the first term at the beginning. The others you’ll most likely get one at a time.
How many classes did you have to take for your MBA
Sorry, I somehow missed your comment whenever you posted it and just now stumbled upon it. There are 10 courses.
How long did it take for you to complete the full program?
10 days for the MBA
@@micalane WOW! 10 days? That's incredible. Thanks for the quick response! :)
Where did you find this tutor ?

This is the link to her page.
@@micalane thank you 🙏
what if you do not have 3 artifacts
Make them up? Maybe use real scenarios but for the things you have to turn in, you can create them. You have at least one because you have an undergraduate degree. If you received any excellence awards along the way, use those. If you’ve received any award at work, you can use that. I do think it’s a difficult ask of them to make you turn in three artifacts. Even whenever you receive awards, you don’t always receive something physical for it.
Is there any pre-req classes to any MBA classes?
Nope.
I was looking also at the Univ of Md. Md has 12 pre-req classes +GMAT. The trend line for MBA is one year and all online! They are cash cows for Universities. Do you think the market is saturated with MBAs? @@micalane
Very helpful
I started counting the “ums” tho
I started Toastmasters recently to work on the “ums” and to just get better at public speaking in general.
The HIMYM gang is shit faced drunk now.
What was difficult about the finance class?
The concepts were just really foreign to me. It wasn’t some thing I had ever studied before. I needed to know the terminology, the practices, and the formulas. I had never seen any of these things before. It may not be difficult for everyone, but it was for me simply because it was completely new.
@@micalane Got it. I think I will be in the same situation. I’m going through the MBA admission process at WGU. I’m a working professional as you and traditional MBA programs don’t work for me - I tried already.
@@ms3143 WGU was definitely a great fit for me. I wanted to be able to do school on my own schedule.
How long it took you to finish your MBA at WGU?
10 days
@@micalane HOW????????????
@@JustinaBenson Watch my other videos. I filmed part of the process.
@@JustinaBenson watch my other videos for how I did it.
Wait...what? You finished all of the courses, start to finish, in 10 days? Is this somewhat common?@@micalane
Are you finished MBA in WGU in 12 day?
Is this true?😅
10 but yes
Is it possible to finish in 6 months if you have a job? Do you think it’s still doable? My job is 100% remote and flexible. Also, my job covers a part of the tuition only if I get a B or higher in everything. Do you think that’s also doable? Thanks
@@Incomebyvictoria 100% doable.
ummm I ummm and i ummm took the class ummm and ummm studied hard ummm and I'm a prodct manager ummmm
hater lol
Oh come on. I think she speaks very well.
I passed my C200 in two weeks I could’ve finished earlier but was taking my time little by little everyday 🥲
Everyone finishes on their own time. There’s no need to compare yourself to others. Finishing in two weeks is a great thing. Way to go!
How many classes was it for the MBA?
