    Well this was perfect timing to find this video. Debating getting my MBA here but have some anxieties about it because I found this college on a random google search. Trying to find a cheap college to obtain my MBA from. If you don't mind I do have some questions if you are willing to answer them I would really appreciate it. Is it true that this college does not use GPA? How long did it take for you to obtain the MBA? How many times did you have to use the proctured exam? How many hours a week do you feel you put in?

    Do you have any other assignments to submit aside from the final paper or project? I know you have to do preassesments to see if you comprehend the topics.....trying to figure out if each 3 credit course is 1 preassessment & 1 assignment or 3 preassessments & 3 assignments?

    • @micalane
      @micalane  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The only ones with pre-assessments are the classes with exams. They do you have kind of a pre-assessment or knowledge check that you can take before each class during course planning but I don’t think it’s accurate. The pre-assessments for your exam classes are reflective mostly of the test.
      Each class has a different amount of work due to show that you know the subject. Some classes have three papers. Some classes have one exam. It depends on the class.

My only concern is that I think with my busy work schedule and if I get deployed I wouldn’t be able to do school while I’m gone. Do you know if they are pretty flexible with stuff like that? In addition is it pretty easy to balance your schoolwork while working a job? TIA!

    • @micalane
      @micalane  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@grantbradt5509 I did my MBA in less than two weeks but I had been laid off for my job a few days before the term started. I didn’t have to concentrate on work or anything during those days. I was also highly motivated so that I could put my new degree on a resume and start sending it out. The next degree that I got was the MSML. I was working during that and took a lot of breaks. I only worked on my degree during the weekends. I could finish a whole course in a weekend usually. That kind of depended on grading time of PAs. I don’t know you personally, so I can’t say that you’ll be able to do the same thing I did. What I can say is that, many people have done exactly what I did.
      As far as active duty and WGU questions, I don’t have experience with that. What I can tell you is that at the brick and mortar school that I went to for my undergrad, there were many students who were in the military, and I believe the school legally had to accommodate them. You can always talk to an admissions counselor about how that works.

      Proctored exams are basically just someone intensely watching you while you take a test. I’m sure there are ways to cheat but I don’t know of any so that makes me feel like it’s pretty reliable.
      I haven’t had any issues with my degree not being respected, but I’m not applying to be the CEO of Google. I got my degree for free through my employer so it was worth it for me.

    What was difficult about the finance class?

    • @micalane
      @micalane  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The concepts were just really foreign to me. It wasn’t some thing I had ever studied before. I needed to know the terminology, the practices, and the formulas. I had never seen any of these things before. It may not be difficult for everyone, but it was for me simply because it was completely new.
