Thinking about attending WGU (Western Governors University) or currently attending WGU? Is completing a degree fast what drew you to WGU and curious how to accelerate? See the success stories on graduating with a full accredited, respected, non-profit, Bachelor Degree in 6 to 12 Months? It is completely possible! Watch the video and follow these simple basic tricks:
    1) Do not be scared to take the OA (Objective Assessment).
    - Study the Practice Assessment. The question, the answers, the category of the question.
    - Go on WGU Facebook Groups, Reddit, and Course Chatter within the Course. See what resources were the most helpful (whether it was the cohorts, reading, or some random person on youtube). Then, do that.
    - Aim for 2 days per OA on easier courses like Critical Thinking. Aim 4-8 days for normal difficulty classes in your major. The Top 4-5 hardest courses, spend longer on. Two weeks or less. Although there are some hair pullers at WGU that might cost you a month of your time: Discrete Math II (Computer Science degree), Intermediate Accounting II (Accounting degree), and others. Account for time accordingly.
    2) Do not over-write for the Performance Assessments.
    - This is the biggest mistake people make at WGU!! Write the minimum for the rubric and turn it in! No Performance Class should take you more than 2 days.. 3 days if you're semi-busy, and 4 days if you're really busy. Worst case scenario is they send it back to you and you have to correct and add some things. For your capstone, take your time on that one. But even that, you're probably over-writing.
    3) ACE Credits!!!!
You can transfer in 90 ACE Credits. These are courses you can take at places like Study.com, StraighterLine, and Sophia. 2 day courses that you can absolutely blaze through! You'll have to spend some money out-of-pocket but it almost ensures you will complete your WGU degree in 1-2 terms. I highly recommend ACE Credits.
    majormash.com

I just finished a BS in IT in less than 5 months. 22 classes or 78 credits since January. Just coming in to say this is legit and a couple of notes. I failed 1 OA in my degree plan CI tried to send me to zybook purgatory to complete all course material to 90%. I pushed back and got it cut back to something more reasonable as a give and take with them.

I start my accounting degree on april 1st and outside of my full time job i dont really have any commitments so i was kinda curious if i focus hard how quickly i could finish and this video was awesome to see. Hopefully i can crank through this degree in 1 or 2 terms. It would be kinda funny and cool to be able to do the in person graduation they have in my town at the end of the year lol

    Hi everyone,
I'm 34 years old and planning to pursue a BA in Business Management at WGU. Since high school, I've been terrible at math and I'm struggling to improve. To prepare, I've been taking free online courses in college algebra and a combined statistics and probabilities course. However, I'm unsure if this is the best strategy.
For those who have completed their BA at WGU, especially if you struggled with math, do you have any advice on how to effectively prepare? Is there a more efficient way to tackle this? My goal is to complete the degree within a year. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

When you say a week per OA class (or 10 days if going slightly slower) how many hours/day are you expecting? I'm going to have a large block of time coming up where I could probably put 10 hours/day into WGU for a couple of months. Curious about how many classes I can expect to knock out

    Is WGU
    More hack able then
    TESU or UMPI?

    • @alexsheppe
      @alexsheppe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

WGU is the most hackable school. TESU is very hackable if you have 24 college credits somewhere and 90 ACE Credits. WGU can actually be done in 1-2 terms without ACE Credits. And with 70-90 ACE Credits, 1-2 terms is almost a certainty.

Hi Alex, I am going into the Bachelor's cybersecurity degree with no transfer credits, and I plan to spend 5-8 hours a day on it, maybe more to complete the program in 1-2 terms. I wanted to know your input on the order in which I should take the classes. ACE Credits will probably take four months if you do all the sites at the same time. Probably 5 to 5 1/2 months if you do them separately. Just my IMO, still need a lot of free time. Then WGU will take 1-2 terms if you transfer in 75+ credits. 1 Term in the C.S. program is doable, but IT Foundations and IT Applications could take a month each if you don’t transfer in CompTIA A+.

I attended umpi and was completely unsatisfied with their module. You have to complete milestones and assignments before you can access the final. Also, I'm not in favor of all the writing because I do a lot of writing for my job. I want a degree fast but the choices are limited at wgu. I want to excel my career and a bachelor's degree is necessary. Which degree would you recommend between education or the psychology degree? More importantly which would be the easiest to obtain? At this point i need a degree and these are the only two that I would have interest in. Especially since they dont offer criminal justice as of yet.
