These videos are a real treat to watch because they show fascinating places that I'll never be able to walk to. And Jeff is so respectful of these special spaces. Great videos! Thank you for sharing them with us Jeff. ❤
Wow.. so much art left behind by the ancients.. even though the landscape is extremely dry, it is so beautiful.. I would think that the peace is almost spiritual.. Thank you again for such another amazing journey..
This was a very pleasing video/hike that probably very few have been to. I am surprised that so few have viewed it, after two years. You do suffer for your art. Thank you for sharing.
Your videos are wonderful. This one brought back memories of being a kid in the 1970's traveling through Moab and stopping at this really great rock shopi. The owner told us if we came back after he closed up he would take us hunting for dinosaur bones and gastroliths. He took my Canadian family out in the gorgeous desert and we found so much. It was a magical and memorable day that I still remember after almost 50 years. Thank you so much for reminding me of that wonderful day and how beautiful and special that area is.😍😍
That was a fascinating trek to view the arch. The landscape around Moab is just so incredible! Thank you for taking us there. Also, I love your joyfully positive attitude. I look forward to viewing your channel as soon as you post a new trek.
Me too. I drove the Girl Scouts crazy, in my day, because I loved to climb and the "buddy system" meant nothing to me. But a couple of the other girls would end up up in the rocks with me anyway, and the poor "counselors" would be tearing out their hair! Still remember, "Camp Deer Lake." @@johnhart125
Great find...!!! I was amazed at the "valley" that was carved out by ice..?? and/or water. The petroglyphs were really cool also. Thanks for sharing...!!
If you're ever in San Miguel de Allende, go to the restaurant called Don Taco Tequila down just one street from the Jardin del Centro. The owner is named Alain. He's an avid hiker and knows many different spots in the state of Guanajuato (and all across Mexico) for hiking. Great food and a great guy! Tell him that Tomás from California sent you.
i believe this is officially called concealed arch and lots of people have been there. There is a tricky technical route into the arch coming from the east. its been known about for decades and is on the Natural arches (NABS) and World arch database sites for arches. There is a faster route there from Pool arch (i think) but its been a few years since i took the route to the fin directly across from it.
Hey @AlexSanchez-oz8uu nice to see you here. Definitely a shorter, less technical route via Pool arch. No rope required. This was one of my more favorite hikes. It isn't visited a lot , but there are definitely people who go.
I applaud your adventure treks and this area of our southwest is amazing. We are hikers as well , and your statements admonishing others to take away only their experience, respecting nature and our native ancestral histories. Thank you. We will look for you foot prints. R&J
What a spectacular hike. That's a place I will never get to hike to myself but I definitely appreciated you taking us there. Thank you so much. New subscriber here. Glad you take such good care of yourself out in this wild country. That's a good education for all of us too.
Can you imagine being in that shelter as a thunderstorm comes thru!! The smell of the earth getting wet, the lightening & thunder! Watching the rain pour over the lip of the entrance. Beautiful!
That is amazing country. Just gorgeous. Thanks for bring us with you. I enjoy your treks so much. I can’t imagine the stamina you have to travel so far. 🥰💕❤️👍👍
Super video 👊👍👍👍 like6# 😎 Really cool location! And some really creative shots and great colours 👍 keep up the good work, best regards Up'n'Down-Traveling
Great job - especially the safety aspect. The gear you kids have is amazing. We used to hike all around with just people knowing where you were going - in general. Like how you love the country.
I know that country well. 4 Corners area. Grew up in Grand Junction. Love your work. Its very exciting to join you in these ventures. Thanks for your work and the magic you bring to share with the People. Blessings for your journey.
What is amazing to me, upon watching your journeys to the Four Corners region, is how many, maybe thousands, of people adapted to and lived, farmed, hunted, crafted, raised stock in that area centuries ago. Those canyons, gullies, arroyos, mesas were well traversed by a very hearty and agile population. So much is isolated now but, as you know, that was not always the case, as I said before: amazing and thank you for sharing your treks with us.
Very interesting! Thx for the great pics. This black patina Ive seen on many similar places (on sandstone), sometimes as dark material like fast cooled metal in the stone itself. 👍
I'm certainly impressed with your determination and patience.... You're very fit....Im 75 yrs old and my wilderness exploration is passed....I will explore the desert with you.... Thanks for your generous and well edited podcasting...🕊️
That was fantastic. I give you so much credit for hiking for many miles and using the drone, what a beautiful arch. I am sure you will go back with your "team".
Very interesting trek! Those are some crazy rock formations there. I wonder how they were formed? Your background music was nice too, Jeff. Thanks for the trek!
I know this video is 2 years old, but you should consider reading (if you haven't already) Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey. He was a park ranger at Arches in the 1950's and if anyone has explored a majority of the area, it would've been him.
Thank you for showing your beautiful countryside. It's amazing the ancient ruins and stone art. I could never tolerate the temperature in those states. From UK, good luck in future finds.
You are a real life Indiana Jones. Can I just please tell you this is amazing, that rock art 😮 you maybe the only person to have set eye on this for 100s or thousands of years. You are probably walking on untouched lands where people have never ventured or very few have. You are truly amazing. I'm in Scotland watching this, I'm getting to see these amazing places through your channel thank you ❤ I love ancient history, I mostly watch ancient Celtic British history. I'm fascinated by the ancient America and their peoples, we could learn so much 🌟
I think it's so cool to see the rock art, knowing someone else hundreds or even thousands of years made it. Makes you ponder if the artist stopped to wonder how long their creation would last and who if anyone, would ever see it.
It looks like mountain lion country. Awesome drone !The rock art made the harsh destination worth it ! Super fun adventure and you are very wise to know when to turn back as you hiked far enough.
I totally agree with that statement I have a masters in archeology from University of Pittsburgh lol although it was my 2nd dairy study I was still educated in reading of our south west and western states petroglyphs and I would love to see a few pictures of them and if you have the gps coordinates
Why don't you camp? That would allow you to eliminate "the rush" That whole hike was Gorgeous. I don't even really care about the arch. Excellent video as usual❤
Great hike. Thanks for taking us along. A nice light weight cowboy hat would offer more protection from the Sun than the ball cap. Keep up the good work.
Rock Art of Spirals has existed in cultures all over the world from the Desert SW to Scandinavia. It is also one of the oldest 'designs' ever found, many spinning sun-wise from the center outward....
Nice video that area is very beautiful have you thought of bringing camping equipment and spending the night up in some of those areas absolutely gorgeous
Great trip. Beautiful country. So very quiet. Finding other people out there is a little creepy. At least they were helpful. Much luv stay safe Carry on the good work.
Your brother sent me here (via Bogley). I was able to retrace most of your route via GE and that is an amazing find. Hope you get to keep the name; it's perfect.
I love this channel! I love the information you impart and your respect for the land and the ancient people. I feel like I am right there with you seeing things and trying to think why the ancient people would build or what the ruins were. Do you do day trips only? I also wonder how many snakes you encounter. I love your enjoyment of the beautiful land and your discoveries. I appreciate that you keep the locations guarded and preserved. Keep on Trekking!
Beautiful and amazing; it was funny, but seeing the petroglyphs made my heart kind of jerk-- "people, people!" That last batch had three small figures at the bottom, with two closer together and one done a bit differently to the right. I wondered if the two together were the Hero Twins of my part of the Southwest, Monster Slayer and Born-For-Water, the sons of Changing Woman. I don't know where you were, but they're even though the Twins are mostly of Navajo origin you find their stories all over the place. Some stories are everywhere, like the one of the Mother of Game-- I've seen petroglyphs with her in them a number of times. Those were beautiful petroglyphs that you found, and the arch was magnificent (great name!) Stay safe and keep hiking; we're here too.
i ESPECIALLY dig the petroglyphs and all that art. it is AMAZING to see. Near Del Rio TX there is a area called SEMINOLE canyon and is very old. There are books about it and it was explored initially i think back in the early part of the 20th century
Those drone shots were incredible, that was like another planet on Star Wars. I could have watched those shots for hours.
These videos are a real treat to watch because they show fascinating places that I'll never be able to walk to. And Jeff is so respectful of these special spaces. Great videos! Thank you for sharing them with us Jeff. ❤
really appreciate that, Anne! Thank you! 🙂
Love how happy you got when you found the petroglyphs 😂 Such a cool video. Thank you ❤
The music was perfect! The drone footage was so surreal. It’s so pretty believe it or not it has a beauty to itself
Wow.. so much art left behind by the ancients.. even though the landscape is extremely dry, it is so beautiful.. I would think that the peace is almost spiritual..
Thank you again for such another amazing journey..
I'm really enjoying these adventures from the comfort of my home! Getting over a back injury and you inspired me to trek around my block. Thank you!

Thanks Jeff for taking me on your adventure! I know this video was from 2 years ago, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The petroglyphs were really neat.
That was a fascinating trek to view the arch. The landscape around Moab is just so incredible! Thank you for taking us there. Also, I love your joyfully positive attitude. I look forward to viewing your channel as soon as you post a new trek.
Wish I was still young enough to join you on one of these treks, loved looking for old mines and ghost towns, abandoned homesteads, etc
Intrepid. Resilient. Curious. YOUNG! Adorable. I would love to introduce my granddaughter to him, if I had one.

Absolutely wonderful video! Jeff does a great job and it’s never boring. Thx so much for bringing these to us!
Agreed! I feel like I’m there with him seeing everything and what a thrill! Grateful for these videos to see things I’d never have seen!
Always wanted to go to Arches. So, thank you for taking us along with you.
Beautiful landscape! The kind of hike I like, Thanks for sharing!
Cheers from Guanajuato Mexico 🇲🇽

There are no words to describe the beauty of your treks. Your videos make me very calm.
I love Arches. Definitely a labyrinth in many places that looks accessible from the air or satellite, but on the ground it’s totally different.
2nd time I've watched this and it amazes me how good your eye is to catch the pictographs at such a distance.
Some great scenery, and wow, some amazing finds! Thanks for sharing!

This is correct. He's just click baiting. Still a cool spot.

This was an AMAZING VIDEO & thank you for your effort. The arch was awesome!! The drawings are always exciting to see. 👍
I think the petroglyphs might be a more important find than the arch. Certainly, no one ever found them on Google Earth. Lol
haha you are absolutely right!
Those petroglyphs were awesome! Meant to be found only by very special souls ❤ Gorgeous landscape too. Thanks for sharing!
Most of this petroglyphs look like childrens drawings, why that "important"?

Great video! Lived in Moab for a year, It was very quiet on the hikes we took, and yes, it was reverent.

Insanely incredible!
I lived in Moab for a year. Really miss the blue skies and red rocks.
Nice find! Great editing too. Nearly a 9 mile round-trip hike huh?
Thank you! It was probably about 9 miles roundtrip when all was done. Not an easy one too!
Awesome rope-hero ! Wow, that is a steep hike !! You are certainly committed to your quest, but... how will you get back down on your way back ?
I believe that other hiker you met on the trail was an angel!

You were following a trail with old footprints most of the way. It was a cool looking arch though!
You are probably mistaken. He said no one has ever been there.

I used to hike alone all over the US until I came face to face with a mountain lion last year. I’ve haven’t been hiking since. Sure miss it
Surely someone has been there... esp with how popular moab has become with outdoor enthusiast.
He was following a trail with footprints and meeting people along the way. Lol.
No one has been too, follows other footsteps the whole way 🤣 cool spot though. Concealed Arch. Been there myself
And meets people there. Lol.
I wonder if you could take some soot from the ceilings and have it "Radio- Carbon dated?
Usually when I meet somebody with a rope I run like hell
