Shading is one of THE things I have noticed that let the sentence "learn the fundamentals of realistic drawing/painting BEFORE you focus on Manga" really turn out to be true. I have been studying art for about 6 years by now and whenever I do Manga drawings/sketches (I am still mostly focusing on getting good at imaginary realism) I notice how valuable the realistic light & shadow fundamental is. And I can see this often when reading Manga. There is a HUGE difference in artists that know their stuff vs. ones that haven't grinded the fundamentals that much.
Whenever I lose the motivation to draw a manga page, I always play one of your videos, and it gives me the encouragement and strength I need. I can feel your uplifting energy through the screen, and it truly inspires me. Tysm for that. I don’t think you get enough credit in the comments for all you do for us. If you happen to see this message, I just want to say thank you for reigniting my passion for art and giving me the courage to keep working on my manga project, despite the judgments of others and my own self-doubts.❤❤
@@aphlearntodrawmanga I haven't tried both but I tried the traditional way. The thing is I can't find all the equipment in my country but I can find the digital equipment very easily. That's why I asked you for a video regarding which would be less labor and less cheaper.
@@aphlearntodrawmanga digital art also I can't by screen tones so I don't know what to do and when I tried to find a tutorial I still didn't understand also I can't find the right app
It makes it more expensive to print. Shades of gray have a bit of color in them. The screentone technique doesn’t use any actual shades of color, making it cheaper.

I needed your tutorials the most, your explaining technique is great and simple to understand, Keep it up sis🙏
Another helpful video. I'm starting to wonder if making manga is an achievable goal for me. I keep underestimating the work involved.

Im 14 and I think I can start my manga now, I am horrible at story boarding, but Im good with everything else.
Go for it! 🙌
Im good In story boarding do u have discord?
I have a request to you to make a video regarding traditional art vs digital art🙏
Have you tried both? What are you struggling with?

Every time I start drawing a panel I’m like “oh I don’t know how do do this yet” but continue drawing. In the end I always end up scraping it 😂
That's always how it goes, I went through the same process when I was younger, and still do sometimes. You just gotta commit to sometimes.
I have a question, does my manga have to be black and white?
Alright!
I thank you for your tips and tricks. I was wondering thought what if you were to create a oneshot that being a slice of life?
Sure, why not! Slice of life is a cool genre. :)
I neeeeeeeeded this
Can you make a tutorial on how to use tones in digital art
We talked about using tones using digital programs in the video. What else do you feel like is missing?
Well I just wanted to know how to do it because I don't know almost anything about digital art
Also I don't get how to even start
Even start with what exactly?

How does the color gray affect the printing quality?

I didn't know that tones existed
