Why I want to make manga? Well, with recent flops in entertainment and the advent of AI art and story writing, I'm pretty much convinced that these days if I want some quality entertainment, I'm gonna have to make it myself. I'm determined to keep the passion in making and telling your own stories alive, whatever shape or form it might take (written word, comic, manga, anime, animation, etc.) I feel that someone has to.
Why I want to make manga?, it might not be a good reason but it's a good enough reason that gets me through everything, it's because I want to tell a story a story that everyone can relate to a story that people can unite and connect to a story that resonates within the heart I want to make a story that entertains people that makes others and myself happy in the end I want a story that connects people makes them happy and feel different emotions and more that makes them feel joy
Why? Well, ten years ago, I discovered the beauty of storytelling throughout drawings, panels an speech bubbles. I love drawing characters and writing stories. I love the way you can show readers Exactly what you want to communicate in each panel! Comics and manga are excellent tools that adapt to any narrative genre, and that all ages can easily understand. ❤
Id advise people to consider visual novels as a medium as well because ren'py is free, very easy, and it's very fast to draw since you only make the assets once and then reuse them, but you can still add as many illustrations as you want for important moments, plus silly little animations every other line For the people who already have their plates full with other commitments, this could be useful to know about this medium for their stories
Why do I want to make a manga? A number of reasons. 1. I have story ideas I want to share with others. 2. I have Vtuber friends and I'd like to make manga about their characters. And 3. I'm currently in a Discord server with a bunch of artists that work on one-shots like nobody's business. I felt inadequate being the only person who can't draw in the whole server, so I want to fix that and make my own one-shot to show them. (I hope that's not too petty of a reason).
Why i wanna make manga? I wanna get my stories into the world because i want to turn my ideas into reality and right now, not many people appreciate who i am and i want to express myself through my manga. I originally wanted to make animation but a whole animated series is practically imposible to do as one person.i dont really like the thought of working with others because im afraid of them taking credit for the stories that i created.(I also suffer with self esteem issues and feelings of worthlessness).i chose manga over western comics because my stories are far to dark to fit with the lighthearted american comic medium.my stories themes are somewhere between attack on titan,berzerk,cyberpunk edgerunners and neon genesis evangelion rather than superman or the avengers.
The reason (or reasons) i want to make manga is mainly because I want to tell a story that i have never seen someone else tell before, maybe because it's not mainstream or just too risky, and from another perspective, im curious to see if these ideas I have can actually reach anyone out there, if the ideas I have can be liked by others. I think that narrows it down.
The first 3 or 4 pages talk about knowing what you want, have a good foundation of knowledge, and how he is trying to direct new mangaka in the right direction and wants them not to forget their goals. Well, I only started reading manga a few months ago but I've been writing stories my entire life. I figured that the advent of telling stories through art form, especially through manga, was a beautiful thing and so i decided that I'd inspire the world with my own stories also through manga.
Frankly, this channel every time I see it makes me question myself and the choices I would make in the future, thank you for this video! But to answer your question, why I want to make this manga I have three reasons: 1-(main reason) I have always loved creating stories, drawing and I have always been creative and I have always wanted to share it with others, I want to express my creativity through the manga that I am currently doing (or the future even if it will never be my job) and above all know how far my creativity can go and test my limits. 2-I want to implement ideas that I have had since I was a teenager (I want to make a death game, a fighting manga that deals with religious themes) 3-I want to do like the manga named radiant, to be one of the rare people in my country to be adapted to Japan. I have always love storytelling, wantd to draw manga as a kid/teen but society made me give it up, plus the very early comparison with other artists in my teens. I am now 32, have been studying art for the past 6 years and when I finally understand the fundamentals so that I can do very realistic art, THEN I'll finally go back to my roots, work on my manga style and do manga. I am very perfectionistic and so picky when it comes to manga artstyles (e.g.,as sad as it is, I can't read manga anymore where e.g. anatomic errors are thrown in yours face or I just don't like the stylistic choices), so I hope that I can get the best out of me when my time has come. :,D My main story gives me the energy to push through artistic frustration during the learning process. I want to make it really and see it taking form. Also, maybe I can release something in Japan, too. Why i want to make a manga ? See, I gave so many stories going through my mind whenever there is a question "Do you think people nowadays like to read books most of the time" Well i do i love reading but it is that i don't have time actually Going to school then coming to home , doing homework and work, eating, going to guitar classes, eating, watching tv or phone, Sleeping it is difficult for me to make time but i am sure there are lot or thousands or more than that people who have time to read write and review like i was also a author in mangatoon but i quite because there was no time now here i am. But honestly i still have no time cause dealing with feelings, stress, pressure, and anxiety specially i always have something going on my mind even if its dumb like who created language and why were we created, why do we have to do work, are we the only ones in the universe, is this whole universe is a game and we are just NPC or We are just experiments of the thing we call alien. I wanna create something that would actually inspire others and give overtinkers like me another way to escape reality.

Growing up watching anime, I have imagining my story inside my head for half a decade now. I felt like if I didn’t make the story come to light, it will continue to flashing back and forth in my head and my heart for more years to come. And I don’t want to die with regret not seeing my story, its characters, its world and its ideals not coming to fruition. I know making manga its not about entertaining yourself but to entertain others, but I’m apologise to say that my dream is not to make manga/comic to entertain others, but to make sure my story becomes reality for myself and others to read, relate and experience to. I’m right now in the beginning stage of writing a panel script(because I have no talent in drawing😂) Its called “Saga of the Blessed” I know the name sounds cheesy but that’s all I can think right now😊
I remember it was about 4 years ago, i was watching Red shoes and the seven dwarfs. And for some reason i felt something. It was children's movie an animation but i felt it . Though i don't know what. I already had alot of stories to tell and i thought i would gust do it as a hobby. But i couldn't anymore. All i could think about is making something that people could could laugh, cry, fell all sorts of mixed emotions. For everyone to feel more human. But i am in a university now. I still try but i don't think i can do both. I even told my family about this. They new it before i did. The live and passion i have for it. But when i told them that i wanted to give up on my studies they refused. I really don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to be a burden on them nor do i want to disappoint but i really don't know. I'm in love with my dream even when i try to stop thinking about it i can't.

I've wanted to create manga since middle school. And so many factors have prevented me from doing it. Years of procrastination in doubt. But I think one of the biggest issues I had is I didn't have a story that I had to tell. And now I do.
Why I want to make a manga? Well... Durning Lockdown, I watch alot of Anime like One Punch Man, MHA. And now my favourite mangaka is Kaoru Mori, Nao Yazawa, Osamu Tezuka, Akira Toiyama, Tetsuya Chiba. They're my inspections all the Time. And I want to be a mangaka like them. Why do I wish to make a manga? One part of me says that I’m aspiring to be like other great mangakas (Hajime Isayama, Hiro Mashima, etc.) and great comic book creators (Stan Lee, Jack Kirby); the thing that they all have in common is that they were able to create stories and whole worlds that resonate with people really well On the other hand, this point might sound childish, but I wish to create stories that eventually get adapted into anime, an anime that I’d like to give a helping hand in animating, though I’m not really sure how the hell it would work (y’all explained in the video) But I think the most important part is that I simply wish to influence others to create great stories, too I live in America, and good lord, am I starved for good stories for escapism, the void that anime and manga are filling for the most part; no one is going out of their way to make stories from where I live and it just saddens me

This video really inspiring, watching this remind me why i want to create manga/comic. I just want people to smiling and find hope just like how I find in my first ever manga. I mean, i don't know if it's going to happen, i am just 13 years old and my art skill to draw hand and other things like coloring isn't that good. My friend always told me, i shouldn't do it because the salary for animator/comic creator isn't that high. It's really make my confidence drop 100% that moment. I just give up sometimes after i wrote the plot or the comics i draw doesn't make any sense. I once finish my comic in my old notebook but my mother accidentally throw it away. I born in a family that's a little richer than poor people but still poor, people keep telling me "your family don't have enough money for it! Be a teacher, it's suit you more!" I really want to be comic creator or even animator! If I can't be those, i want to be writer one day but then i remember I am just 13 and my future can change with what happen around me
The reason I want to create manga is because nowadays with some manga it can be quite repetitive with some of their ideas now and then, and seeing some good creations in the comic industry when it comes to manwha and manga, sometimes I’ve kinda felt somewhat empty with some of the newer series, which is why I want to create a series where you can feel immense emotions like happiness, anger, sadness, and even excitement behind the art and 2 series that make that happen is Tokyo Ghoul and The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity. Also a complex story that has great understandment and a beautiful but cruel world , and emotional depth, with exciting fight scenes that bring many emotions, one manwha series that stands out to me the best is Tower Of God because of its world building and complexion.

Honestly i've tried making manga my main job for the last 1 year with the mindset of "I'm gonna make money out of this". Needless to say that's not enough of a motivation and It just makes you doubt your path more and more. I asked some comic artists in my country and they all have different art jobs to support for their passion, which is drawing manga. Now i'm trying to make it into my passion again to feel less frustrated with myself. I'm also looking forward to finish my next one-shot!
Keep doing what you're doing! You're probably feeling frustrated because you might be giving yourself such a short window to succeed. In the grand scheme of things, 1 year is still very short. A lot of pro manga artists start off doing part-time jobs while making their manga. It may take a few years to go pro full-time. If it were easy, then everyone would be a mangaka. I originally wanted to make comics but i wanted them to be dark and serious so i chose manga instead because most comics are too lighthearted for my stories
My story is good because every character is different also their is 2 Assassin's coming after the main character and one of them may or may not be his own twin brother

Why i want to make manga? Mangaka are like magicians sometime. They manage to make us cry ans laught with juste some line on papier. I want someone read something that I would have drawn and feeling some emotions. At that moment, I would be like a magician in my turn

Ive always loved entertaining people when i was 6 i wanted to make art for people to buy, when I was 8 I got into animation because i wanted to make a show based off of anime that I loved! when i was 9 i wanted to be an author, when i was 10 i wanted to write plays and act in them too, now at 11 i have tons of ideas for manga! Art and stories have always been my passion but I thought "no one tells interesting stories in picture books those are for children! That's not my target audience.." and i learned anime, one of my favorite things comes from manga! Now every second of the day im thinking of all my ideas for manga I want to write! I won't be able to make all of them succeed.. but i hope i can make the most of my youth and find people who will love the things I do. I want to inspire them and touch their hearts! I want to be able to make someone say "this manga/anime changed my perspective on life and it touched my heart"

See, I gave so many stories going through my mind whenever there is a question "Do you think people nowadays like to read books most of the time" Well i do i love reading but it is that i don't have time actually Going to school then coming to home , doing homework and work, eating, going to guitar classes, eating, watching tv or phone, Sleeping it is difficult for me to make time but i am sure there are lot or thousands or more than that people who have time to read write and review like i was also a author in mangatoon but i quite because there was no time now here i am.
But honestly i still have no time cause dealing with feelings, stress, pressure, and anxiety specially i always have something going on my mind even if its dumb like who created language and why were we created, why do we have to do work, are we the only ones in the universe, is this whole universe is a game and we are just NPC or We are just experiments of the thing we call alien.
I wanna create something that would actually inspire others and give overtinkers like me another way to escape reality.
Why i want to draw, is because i promise a little boy that someday i will be a great artist that will inspire millions to draw, to follow there dream, to be the greatest of them, and to love themself even tho it look impossible for me to follow my dream i will not give up just because the boy inspire me to be myself and this day i will follow that boy dream till my hand cannot move again thats why i want to draw because of a promise and mainly to have fun

Growing up watching anime, I have imagining my story inside my head for half a decade now. I felt like if I didn’t make the story come to light, it will continue to flashing back and forth in my head and my heart for more years to come. And I don’t want to die with regret not seeing my story, its characters, its world and its ideals not coming to fruition. I know making manga its not about entertaining yourself but to entertain others, but I’m apologise to say that my dream is not to make manga/comic to entertain others, but to make sure my story becomes reality for myself and others to read, relate and experience to.
I’m right now in the beginning stage of writing a panel script(because I have no talent in drawing😂)
Its called “Saga of the Blessed” I know the name sounds cheesy but that’s all I can think right now😊
I remember it was about 4 years ago, i was watching Red shoes and the seven dwarfs. And for some reason i felt something. It was children's movie an animation but i felt it . Though i don't know what. I already had alot of stories to tell and i thought i would gust do it as a hobby. But i couldn't anymore. All i could think about is making something that people could could laugh, cry, fell all sorts of mixed emotions. For everyone to feel more human. But i am in a university now. I still try but i don't think i can do both. I even told my family about this. They new it before i did. The live and passion i have for it. But when i told them that i wanted to give up on my studies they refused. I really don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to be a burden on them nor do i want to disappoint but i really don't know. I'm in love with my dream even when i try to stop thinking about it i can't.
The only thing I’m doing right now, is copying my old art, and I’m not really sure if that is improving my work, despite some few tips I picked up..

@@aphlearntodrawmanga yes; there were some character expressions I tried to recreate, but looking at them now, I couldn’t recapture the feeling I felt when I drew it back then.
I've wanted to create manga since middle school. And so many factors have prevented me from doing it. Years of procrastination in doubt. But I think one of the biggest issues I had is I didn't have a story that I had to tell. And now I do.

Why I want to make a manga? Well... Durning Lockdown, I watch alot of Anime like One Punch Man, MHA. And now my favourite mangaka is Kaoru Mori, Nao Yazawa, Osamu Tezuka, Akira Toiyama, Tetsuya Chiba. They're my inspections all the Time. And I want to be a mangaka like them. I call is an 'All in One Artist' and It's my Goal/Dream/ Bucket list.

Why do I wish to make a manga? One part of me says that I’m aspiring to be like other great mangakas (Hajime Isayama, Hiro Mashima, etc.) and great comic book creators (Stan Lee, Jack Kirby); the thing that they all have in common is that they were able to create stories and whole worlds that resonate with people really well
On the other hand, this point might sound childish, but I wish to create stories that eventually get adapted into anime, an anime that I’d like to give a helping hand in animating, though I’m not really sure how the hell it would work (y’all explained in the video)
But I think the most important part is that I simply wish to influence others to create great stories, too
I live in America, and good lord, am I starved for good stories for escapism, the void that anime and manga are filling for the most part; no one is going out of their way to make stories from where I live and it just saddens me

This video really inspiring, watching this remind me why i want to create manga/comic. I just want people to smiling and find hope just like how I find in my first ever manga. I mean, i don't know if it's going to happen, i am just 13 years old and my art skill to draw hand and other things like coloring isn't that good. My friend always told me, i shouldn't do it because the salary for animator/comic creator isn't that high. It's really make my confidence drop 100% that moment.
I just give up sometimes after i wrote the plot or the comics i draw doesn't make any sense. I once finish my comic in my old notebook but my mother accidentally throw it away. I born in a family that's a little richer than poor people but still poor, people keep telling me "your family don't have enough money for it! Be a teacher, it's suit you more!" I really want to be comic creator or even animator! If I can't be those, i want to be writer one day but then i remember I am just 13 and my future can change with what happen around me

The reason I want to create manga is because nowadays with some manga it can be quite repetitive with some of their ideas now and then, and seeing some good creations in the comic industry when it comes to manwha and manga, sometimes I’ve kinda felt somewhat empty with some of the newer series, which is why I want to create a series where you can feel immense emotions like happiness, anger, sadness, and even excitement behind the art and 2 series that make that happen is Tokyo Ghoul and The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity. Also a complex story that has great understandment and a beautiful but cruel world , and emotional depth, with exciting fight scenes that bring many emotions, one manwha series that stands out to me the best is Tower Of God because of its world building and complexion.

Honestly i've tried making manga my main job for the last 1 year with the mindset of "I'm gonna make money out of this". Needless to say that's not enough of a motivation and It just makes you doubt your path more and more. I asked some comic artists in my country and they all have different art jobs to support for their passion, which is drawing manga. Now i'm trying to make it into my passion again to feel less frustrated with myself.
I'm also looking forward to finish my next one-shot!
Keep doing what you're doing! You're probably feeling frustrated because you might be giving yourself such a short window to succeed.
In the grand scheme of things, 1 year is still very short.
A lot of pro manga artists start off doing part-time jobs while making their manga. It may take a few years to go pro full-time.
If it were easy, then everyone would be a mangaka.

i don't usually coment in the videos, because i don´t write in english very well but i want to say that my reason for make a manga is because i love so much the medium and i also want to tell stories it´s something that i'd like to do
Why? Since I have memory I spend all day just out with my imagination until I developed this muscle of creation, I have lots of comics I made just as a hobby but it grew in me to the point I really think I created something insane, it connected to my whole life purpose, my legacy in this world before I'm gone is to tell a story many people can talk about and enjoy, I'm a fight enthusiast and I love every single kind of fight: ufc, cinema, video games, I believe I can bring a fresh air to everyone that enjoys fights like me, even tho I have some struggles on my own and the process of creation became even more personal when I realized I had to improve myself to even create it, I have a Strong message for everyone that has struggled just like me In life, maybe one day It would even save someone's life
This made me realize I’m more of a manga reader than a mangaka
Why i want to make manga?
Mangaka are like magicians sometime. They manage to make us cry ans laught with juste some line on papier. I want someone read something that I would have drawn and feeling some emotions. At that moment, I would be like a magician in my turn
What about Otomo and Murata? They animate.
They are among a handful of exceptions. There's a reason there's very little overlap, both fields are extremely demanding and have different skill sets.
You can do both, but if you look at the people who do, most of them started in one area before going into the other, and they tend to do one more than the other.

Ive always loved entertaining people when i was 6 i wanted to make art for people to buy, when I was 8 I got into animation because i wanted to make a show based off of anime that I loved! when i was 9 i wanted to be an author, when i was 10 i wanted to write plays and act in them too, now at 11 i have tons of ideas for manga! Art and stories have always been my passion but I thought "no one tells interesting stories in picture books those are for children! That's not my target audience.." and i learned anime, one of my favorite things comes from manga! Now every second of the day im thinking of all my ideas for manga I want to write! I won't be able to make all of them succeed.. but i hope i can make the most of my youth and find people who will love the things I do. I want to inspire them and touch their hearts! I want to be able to make someone say "this manga/anime changed my perspective on life and it touched my heart"
Woah I didn't know I could write that much anyway I'm glad I started art so early I hope I get tons of skill by my early 20s enough to be other worldly level manga anyway but I can only hope
