    What an amazing content.
    Hi! I'm Yusuke Nagano from Karate Dojo waKu.
    Since we barely have any ground fighting in karate, this is extremely valuable.
    Thank so much for your effort!

    Eli with his own punch block series?! Magnificent! Would you really be going for submissions in a self defense situation though?

    • @patrickb-man1309
      @patrickb-man1309 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chandasouk
      Why not? If you make a person go unconscious for a few seconds, that affords you time to disengage and get away from them.

    • @Chandasouk
      @Chandasouk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@patrickb-man1309 Position before submission. I'd never try to fight off my back and play guard. I'm sweeping.

      Submissions have more insurance behind them than strikes. Context dictates tactics, and submissions should be on the table. Whether they are the best route or not depends. Having said that, we just completed a course today with BJJ Fanatics all on disengagements, so I am definitely a believer in whatever offers the best and safest route out of the fight.

      Beginner question...did you create these moves or did someone teach you (not just this move, but all your techniques too) They are so incredible and creative!

      @KnightJiuJitsu  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At some point I learned most everything from somewhere else, either teachers or partners. I have some ways of putting things together or explaining that might be slightly different, but that’s all.

    Great 👍🏼 stuff - I think this is essentially what I use in Gi when we put the gloves on, but from a bit of spider guard - very effective...or if they posture up once in the triangle I go for the Rickson Triangle.

    Awesome vídeo!! I was taught this position (foot on biceps, wrist control), as a sort of modified Spider Guard for MMA, could this be right??
    And also instead of sweeping the other option could be an Armbar, anyways, thank you for the vídeo!!
