I've been stuck at home with health issues, and watching Kristin's spectacular performances has given me endless joy. This one along, with Glitter and Be Gay, are the best of TH-cam (and Broadway).
I currently live in an apartment and have a similar experience; two neighbors blast their music at the same time but it’s totally different styles. I try to just go to sleep but it’s hard.
I LUV this amazingly talented woman, just wondering if anyone else noticed she pointed opposite directions for aparmtents 13G and 15G? other than that, I think it was another flawless performance. "I've had my fill of peace and quiet, shout out loud: I've changed my diet," is my favorite part of the song when Ms. Chinowith sibgs it.
The day after this show aired, I called up several music stores in town hunting down one that had her cd with this song and bought it. Sure, I'm not the only one who done so.

This is the very first time my wife and I heard Kristin....changed our musical lives!!!
wow!! so amazing as she always be. Scatting, Opera-ing and belting in one song, singing about such a fun story, the one and only Kristin!
Beautiful talent and I love the way she says no solicitions
my voice teacher wants me to sing this
Kristin is the Brian Wilson of musical theatre--in other words, a musical genius!!
I'll never be over this performance and how challenging it is to go back and forth in styles like this!!!

His "yeah!" after Kristin just belted her face off is never not funny

I saw it. Mildly amusing, but she's also a Broadway actress and NYC people make whole careers looking for faux pas of actors onstage there.
Two years before Wicked
this is literally the best thing i've seen and heard XD

omg she's so amazing !!!! I'm learning this song and she in totally my inspiration :D
Good luck this requires extreme pitch control

I'm lost in my Jane Austen when I hear
[Dramatic opera]
Say it isn't so
Not the flat below
From an opera wanna be
In 13G
A matinee of some cantata
Wagner's Ring
And Traviata
[Dramatic opera]
My first night in 14G
I'll put up with Puccini
Brew myself a cup of tea
Crochet until she's "fini"
Half past eight
Not a peep
Except the clock tick-tockin'
Now I lay me down to sleep
A comfy bed to rest my head
A stretch, a yawn, I'm almost gone when
[Scatting noisily]
Now the girl upstairs
[Laughs]
Wakes me unawares
Blowing down from 15 G
Her reveille
She's scattin' like her name is Ella
Guess who answers a cappella
[escalating transitions between scatting and opera]

Raise my voice
Make a fuss

Wow, what a performance!!
(0:45)
This one and Kelli O'Hara's "They won't let you in the opera if you're a country star". Love them both.
"Wagner's Ring and Traviata" (sings Magic Flute)
And pronounces "TraviaRa"...
Right?
Wow that audience was dry as hell during the beginning.
Wow!!!! So talented! Awesome performance. ❤️
i remember fraaaaannnccceeee
I’ll forever be jealous of her vocal range!!
Awwww Jerry. 😢 Miss you.
Chelsea, I absolutely adore your 14G performance!!! Keep up and lots of love and best wishes. Grandma Cree

Absolutely gorgeous!!❤
Please post more of Kristin Chenoweth!!
She pointed 13G upwards and 15G downwards Lol BUT I still LOVE UUUU
You are such a mind-boggling asshole, you know that?

*lol* I yawned when she said: "...yawn...".
She reminded me of Sandy Duncan her look and personality love her talent
Sings a hell of a lot better than Sandy...personality okay agree

@MrFishing4u I always considered Sandy to be a better singer than some people give her credit for being.

NO! must share!
Omg thai people sing that song too
That was badass!
With Jerry Lewis!
Ugh, very arrogant person he was
verry like
Did she write this song?
I think so
It was written for her based from her experience after she moved to NY.
It's by Jeanine Tesori

This makes me rethink pursuing a music degree… 😭
Wonder who paid to write all those charts?
She is Broadway
When she scats she reminds me of Eartha Kitt!
You are sick. Not even remotely.
well, I heard a cover version sang by a real soprano and I did not expect the original to sound like Duffy :))
Kristin Chenoweth is a real classically trained soprano. She has a master's degree in opera performance
Best get yourself Bernstein's Candide with her singing the role of Cunegonde. Might change your mind
She kinda looks here like a mini version of Cameron Diaz on "The Mask"

Please tell me that this wasnt some sort of talent show???? 😳

Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.
@@gilartisisiw983 thank you!!
It's Lisa Simpson
Chenoweth made some good albums. She was also great in Pushing Daises. I can't believe she dated Seth Green (he seems like an idiot).
