Every pundit is talking about the Patriots as "building," but really having no chance this year - predicting a 3-4 win season at best. I don't understand why. The Patriots have a solid D that can shut down most offenses, and even hold their own with the best ones. Problem is that last year they were on the field for over 40 minutes a game. If the D stays healthy, they can legit hold opponents to >21 ppg. I believe that that gives the Patriots a fighting chance in every game. You heard it here first: the two adjectives used to describe the Patriots this season will be, "Surprising," and "Sneaky." 9 wins!
The reason why is because the teams they play are deemed so much better than them let's say they are wrong and the Pats when 8 games. Still not enough for a playoff birth.
Even last year without key pieces (judon and gonzalez) and being on the field constantly, our defense ranked first against the rush and was number 7 overall in the league… I think teams are really underestimating us this year
Didn’t the Patriots lose like 3 games last year with the D holding the opponent under 10 points?? Maybe more?

The problem last season was our team not putting points on the board with the offense wit got minus the online problem we have players who can make plays this season most of the games we loss were one possession or one score games wit what we were working wit ..this season will be a lot different...we definitely doin better than what people think

No one ACTUALLY watches the patriots play but the fans. We had crazy close games with some top tier teams.

As opposed to most predictors of the New England Patriots upcoming season, I will go 9-8, just over .500. I have been a Patriots fan since the late 1960's, and I have been through 1-15 seasons before. But that is not how they look top me this year, And I think Miami, Buffalo and the N.Y. Jets may be overrated. Here's hoping.

The top defense days are over. Left with the Belichick 's . Would not be surprised if a lot of players have questionable injuries again half way through the season . The under over for Judon's games played is 9 games

Tom Brady of course that was 20 years ago came out as a 6th round pick they knew after the first year that this guy could be an outstanding quarterback and they wouldn't have kept him on the roster Bill belichick is greater coach as he is in Mastermind with x's and o's the offensively doesn't believe in offense he believes in defense that's why the Patriots never scored a lot of points even though they had an outstanding offense because the quarterback makes the other team plays better
Belichick was Head coach in 2007 one of the best offenses in NFL history so he was apparently an offensive guy that year

No reason to even win 1 game. We need a true no effin around game changer wide receiver. Next draft. Baby steps. But maye with a true number one receiver with high picks this past draft and next years. We should b back quick. Hate to say it aka Texans. It should happen quick if mayo and crew know their shit.

No idiot we need to protect the investment we just made with drafting Maye. WRs are easy to find in the back end of the draft. Left Tackles are not.
I actually hate all the polk hype polk is only that good due to odunze being the wr1 there polk will be a solid wr2 but needs a true number 1 with him he’s not that good

IF they get a good left tackle, I believe Brissett can win 7-8 games with this team. That take on Bourne is correct. He is not even close to being a #1 reciever, but he is reliable. They need one of their young draft picks to emerge as a big playmaker.
Brissette is 18-30 as a starter in NFL they maybe lucky they kept Zappe. Can't wait to see all the goof ups on offense.

Pats have a long way to go. They need Drake Maye to be good, Mayo and the rest of the new coaching staff to be good, the new WRs to be good, big improvement in the O-line, and the defense to stay as good as they've been. But if any of those things don't happen, they're in trouble.
The Patriots were a good team with a terrible quarterback
The Patriots were an average at best team that had HUGE problems in all 3 phases of the game, even the defense would mess up badly at times when they shouldn't have.

@@UpChuckTheBoogie You're likely right about Brady, but that still doesn't excuse the defense from allowing Sam Howell to convert a 3rd and 23 by SCRAMBLING, or how they stupidly choked away the team's touchdown lead in the final minutes of the lunatic lateral game despite dominating the entire second half. It's true the offense would almost never help the defense, but the defense would let the offense down too, it just never gets talked about for whatever reason.

My problem with this team is the wide receivers are very slow and overrated. I wish the pats had some speed on wide receivers. Top ten defense helps. Good video.

@@josephborrone5912Thornton was a high draft pick and is still really young. Heard he bulked up this offseason. It’s football, guys get hurt. Doesn’t hurt to have an arsenal. It worked out well for the packers last year. I’m more concerned with the experiment at LT.
