the black foam stick would not stay in place and beamed onto my car. left a dent :(. What am I doing wrong?

i believe there should be 4 "fins" on the stick that is designated to fit into the 4 "slots" inside the main piece. with a slight push, you should feel a quick snap of it fitting snug in place.

It is supposed to freely rotate so that way you can rotate the sprayer (if you need to) without spilling the soap container.

Maybe less water to soap ratio? His foam was a little thin or perhaps certain soaps foam better like how dishwasher soap doesn’t bubble up as much as regular dish soap

This is hard to watch, you need a couple of buckets with a grit guard on the bottom. You literally just rubbed all the dirt and scratched your paint because you need to rinse off your mitt after sections. You do the bottom last because that is were a lot of the dirt is concentrated. You do not scrub up from the bottom half of the door up to the top half because you will scratching the heck out of your paint. Lastly if you foam, you let the chemicals do the work, you are not supposed to scrub the dirt into the paint but more so just slide it off with light pressure, not scrub with pressure. You will have swirl marks doing it your way. Sorry man, you should have researched before doing this video.

Thanks for your input and feedback. Your method is correct for the proper way to wash, and protect the paint/clearcoat to the fullest extent. My method is more of a "quick", the microfiber cloth helps a ton in preventing scratches.

@@UTECHPIA - The microfiber cloth is not magic and not the problem (not abrasive) that prevents the picking up of dirt that scratches the paint. At a minimum you need to rinse off the cloth to get rid of the dirt is all I am saying and never push from bottom of the car (where the heavy dirt build up is) up to the top of door. Rinsing off the cloth 3-4 times with a grit guard doesn't take any time and is quick as well and you don't want to make a $3000 mistake by rubbing a large grain of whatever and scratching the paint to be so quick. Just think about it, the cloth will become like sandpaper when the dirt is on it.
I'm a nobody, just trying to help so you don't ruin the nice paint job on the car.

thats one way to waste product and water. if you can afford a tesla you can afford a pressure washer. and foam canon. less water, less waste. also those arent microfibers for drying. the gsm is too low on those to absorb water.

Wow!!! This is great information. Thanks! I haven’t considered a pressure washer yet, because i didn’t understand the benefits until now! 👍
