- I spent 3 days ALONE in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park! This incredible landscape is located in British Columbia, Canada. Starting off with my helicopter ride in, this video follows my journey to Og Lake Campground, Lake Magog Campground, Mount Assiniboine Lodge, and the famous Niblet/Nublet viewpoint.
I'm pretty new to solo backpacking, so I'm still learning the ropes. Taking the helicopter into Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park allowed to cut out the most intimidating part of doing this solo - the 30km hike in! Bear safety was of course my main concern, and you'll see how I handled that in the video. I don't want to give too much away here, so join me for 3 days of solo backpacking in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park :)

Could not have timed it more perfectly for the larches, truly incredible landscapes... what an epic hike! Wonder Pass has been on my bucket list for a while now, so this has really motivated me to try again for 2023!
Seriously! The timing was perfect. I need to go back to do Wonder Pass as well. I’ve been through it once, and it was beautiful! But I didn’t take any photos or film anything.

I did solo trip fly in hike out 3 years ago... got lucky to see larch before all needle fall.. next time try to hike nub peak then wonder pass on the way out.. its so beautifull..

Great video documenting a much less known area of the park with Og Lake and I am not sure if you have already made a video of this or not but I suggest going up to the Bugaboo Provincial Park and backpack there

What an amazing adventure, thank you for sharing. I would love to do this with a friend, not ready to do the solo part. How did you plan your itinerary for this trip? As it looked perfectly planned out. Many questions for you.
The first time I went with a friend! Since I had already visited before I felt more comfortable and it was easy to plan out where to go. Plus I always research heavily online before I visit places.
Could you do a starter pack video for solo lady travellers? I used to backpack with my Dad all the time but I’m never sure of what supplies to buy now! Just like, what equipment is essential and what clothes to bring. Thanks!

Amazing views. I'm confused when you said you're worried hiking by yourself as there's people hiking and camping in all your shots.
I hiked alone the whole 5km to Og Lake on the first day. That was the only time I was a bit nervous

I soloed the other side from BC side, which were stunning views with lesser people, actually the whole day only me in the area, 42 km away from highway 92. You can find my photos of Assiniboine Lake in Google Map, which I deemed it the number one Lake in the Rockies.

I think Porcupine is on the hike in when you start from Sunshine. I didn’t come in that way

Such an amazing backbacking trek, one which is tied for 1st with Berg Lake. Great video. Thanks for allowing me to relive my time there. Hey 🐻, Hey 🐻😮😂 It’s their land so just gotta share it while there. On our way to the Nub we saw a mum and 2 cubs at Sunburst Lake. We sang so loudly and terribly 😂

This was October 1st. We had a really warm fall so the larch trees turned yellow a lot later than they normally do

In Norway we don't have permanent tent sites in the mountains.

Hey! It depends where you are. But there are a lot of places where you need permits to camp, and are only permitted to camp on designated areas

Hey! This was the first week of October in 2022. We had a really beautiful/late fall season though. Normally these conditions would be mid September
