I'm gonna definitely try this method to tone my hair. My new growth and ends are still a little yellow, my midshaft is at a really nice color, almost white but my ends and new growth are a little resistant so hopefully this will help my hair! Thanks!

ecvaldez7 Quite possibly! I once had dark gray hair and the way I went about that was adding a pebble sized amount of black to my normal toner! Just be careful and make sure you rinse it out once you notice it changing! Gotta be quick!

Bethany Johnson So I would slowly (like maybe in 2-3 weeks) rebleach with a volume 10 developer. Then I would use a violet/beige toner while your hair was wet. You don't have to use Manic Panic! Maybe use something that requires a developer to help pull those colors better! Just what I would do (:
MyNameIsNotJaiAtAll it will turn out more blu-ish ofc but don't forget this is just a toner. for a real pastel effect, i suggest getting the manic panic pastel-izer. it mixed that with my midnight blue and i got this nice deep baby blue hue.

Hi!! I hope you can help me out: my hair dresser bleached only the tips of my dark brown hair to make an ombre fantasy purple, but it wasn't bleached super light. I used Manic Panic Purple Haze and I like it, but the "begining" of the bleached section turned orange preeety fast. A couple months later, I decided to go blue and used Midnight blue, and looked awesome... Until it turned green in the same sections that turned orange when I was using purple. My question is, can I use Virgin Snow to, well, tone down the yellow/orange and then apply Midnight Blue again?do you think that would cue the green undertones? Btw, that's the most badass hair I've seen in a long time. Including pinterest!
Well the thing with fun, party colors is that you can't just color your hair with it once and expect it to stick! When I had bright colors I was coloring my hair every 2 weeks, sometimes every week even. Virgin Snow is just a toner that is going to tone hair that is already platinum blonde. Unfortunately it's not going to cut orange tones out, only yellow tones basically. But thank you, dear! (:
Talia Magdy No it will do nothing to dark brown hair unfortunately... Toners are only to take leftover tones out of blonde hair. Any colors you put in dark brown hair are just gonna leave a tint to it, it will not change your hair from dark brown!
Mel kay Any hair color fades if it's not your natural hair color or bleach! I don't wash my hair for 3-5 days so that helps maintain the color, but it will definitely go back to blonde after a week or 2 I'd say!
FluffBunnyJay It is 100% safe! The only thing is that it will stain your scalp big time, so whenever I apply it I Shampoo twice when rinsing it out! It's literally like a conditioner with color pigment added, no harmful chemicals WHATSOEVER. It's a vegan dye and if anything it is helping your hair be healthy!

Agree manic panic the best. On my bleached hair, i use blue steel with tsp of violet also. Cover 2 hrs. Just rinse

Direct dye, I never mix it with conditioner unless I'm doing a co-wash because it's faded and I'm too lazy to recolor it at that point
