I would be interested in seeing a few things - on your boolean cut for the marker I wouldn't want the same texture for the inside of the boolean (since that's not how they make that texture in real life - they take brass and run a wire brush over it, which doesn't get into the small crevasses.) How would you do that? would you select those planes and make them a new object? Also it slightly drove me crazy that your line didn't line up with the numbers, and that you left all the numbers in the same spot on the dial, but for the speed you went I can forgive that one.
Thank you for the feedback! You would have to select different parts of the object and apply materials to those select pieces. You would use Assign-Material option to do this!
