thank you this has helped me with my beginnings with open E slide and using scales as well for beginner slide players, and for people who read my comments it would be in your best interest to take notes on paper

Thanks for checking it out and the comments! Yes, this was largely unscripted, so there are definitely things not in the handouts that can be helpful to note down 🙂

This is really great. It should work in Open D as well, no? Theoretically what would those notes be? (Sorry, beginner).

Thanks, and for checking out the video :-) If you play all these scales (same frets/shapes) in Open D tuning, then they'll just be D scales (eg E major shape will become D major). Hope that helps!

Cool little website, even cooler that your resources are free!! Gotta say you've opened my eyes to ways to visualise the feet board with this lesson

This is very well done. The content is easy to understand and relatable to musicality. I like that this video caters to an intermediate to advanced standard player who could apply their knowledge to Open E slide playing. Trying to mix info for beginners and intermediate players can create frustrating moments for both levels. Thanks for thinking it through. Also, your vibe is great for teaching. Cheers!

I could not help but notice when going from the minor pentatonic to the major the diagram was the same yet you were listing off different frets I’m a little confused probably something to do with Theory correct?

Ah, I have a horrible feeling that editing videos whilst on holiday might mean a mistake snuck in there - sorry! The PDFs in the resources section of the website are correct: www.onefingerguitarist.com - you can print those off, and they should relate directly to what's discussed in the video. I'll triple-check next time when there are diagrams onscreen! Thanks for spotting it 🙂

This is good, but speak up in your videos please. Most of us guitar players are hard-of-hearing, lol.
