Oh man...I´m just approx 45min in now and you four hurled me through almost every emotion there can possibly be.
I´ve been sitting here stunned by the dialogue of Wilhelm and Elias, next second I´m crying because of Rudy´s warm heart and motherly kindness and next I´m laughing my a** off ´cause of Wraths chaotic friendship alignment and social incompetence.
Your acting, you embodiement of your characters and Monty being all the other ones, this is Oscar-Award material in my opinion. Damn I love this show.

Gosh I love Joe's comedic relief. Hahaha. And speaking of Wilhelm carrying his past on his shoulders, let's talk about the cast helping shoulder the story for Monty with their roleplay. Everyone here is brilliant.
Any episode that involves Monty just losing it is always a banger. Not that there’s been bad episode to begin with!
Drakkenheim episodes are like a static array that doesn't have a single stat under 10.
My favorite is watching the others crack him up. Joe has the most success so far in making him lose it! 😂
Monty is an expert at sitting back and letting the players make a plan. Unless there is some other pressing matter, he let's the players talk it out until they have a question. Cool.

Besides Monty being one of the best DMs I've ever witnessed, the players amaze me. They could have easily beaten the steel fangs with a plan, but their role play and their individual personalities created something more organic. I had anxiety watching that final battle, but I loved that. This is seriously the best streamed dnd game out there

dungeon dudes everyone involved is killing it. next level. all have you have inspired me so much. thank you to everyone!
The Dungeon Dudes (including Jill and Joe) have woven the plot into such a tapestry, especially how season two has become more intertwined with season one. Each episode is a mixture of emotional interactions, compelling story, and fun friendship and always at a professional level.
I love seeing everyone’s expressions as the story develops and in battle as dice rolls ebb and flow.
I like the effects from Roll20 such as pinging a location and measuring distance... Maybe seeing the practical settings again will help the audience keep track of the dynamics of combat along with the dangers of the environment.
Enjoy the break. I will revisit these last 3 episodes. They are so well done and suspense filled that I have to go back.

This channel is such a great example of creativity, hard work, friendship, and the willingness to be vulnerable to a group of people. Dungeon Dudes, you rock!
As for the requested feedback. I loved the person to person interaction during the whole drakkenheim campaign. Battlecam was sometimes diffecult to track what was happening on the board. With the online gameplay you saw everything and it was easy to keep track. Love the online maps but I also love the Monty builds. Looking forward to seeing the basement again.

Joe is such a good player both as role player and as within the rules/creativity. I enjoyed Pluto since day 1, but Wrath grew on me because of him and now is my shadow's favorite character just as Pluto was. His characters have so much depth without being over complicated.
For how emotionally charged the first 30 minutes were I can’t believe how much comedy came in just the next 30 minutes. You guys are so freaking awesome
after drakkenforce working so hard to set george up to take the throne, it is so interesting to see a different perspective!! i love it :)

Personal feelings about virtual tabletop vs. playing in the basement - for me season 1 felt like I was sitting at the table with you guys; since the the transition to virtual I think the games feel more "polished" like I am watching a show. I can't help but geek out over Monty's DF builds and array of mini's but I must confess I have an easier time following the action on the virtual maps. Either way can't wait to see what happens next when you come back from break!
Loved the first season . Loving the second. Won’t lie … I’m going to miss the virtual tabletop. This is, with my group being as spread out as it is, the best way to get together and play. My play has improved by watching yours.

Edit: I’ve never cheered this hard for the success of any character as during their battle against the werewolves. Big Rudy Ram and Wrath Hypno on all of them had me acting like a football fan

That was A PEAK of this campaign till now, all sessions had their own peaks but this is above all the end of previous one and this is AWESOMW IN A WHOLE NEW LEVEL

When Monty said "we have Delerium arrows and Aqua Expergo" my mind combined them and pictured Wilhelm shooting all the vampires with the yellow liquid making them instantly heave out the Delerium filled powers as Rudy finished them off and Wrath combusitionned the mess away.
Interesting how the dice can have such a wide-reaching impact. If Elias Drexel dies instead of Jupiter Jones inside Castle Draken at the end of season 1, this season and the lore of the world is significantly different.
The character plot in this season and last.... it's emotional. Well done you lot. And so professional as well.

I was really hoping that after he said "Drakenheim is no more" he would continue with "Struck by a falling star and then the intro for the first season would roll.

Last episode my favorite moment was Rudi's Arcane Lock play.
This episode I was laughing out load 44:45 because of Wrath. Just as i calmed down 45:25 he planed the whole murder. I think this was my favorite moment of campaign so far.
I'm so freaking excited about this show.

Drakkenheim is brilliant idea for and RPG world! Defining several distinct factions all in conflict over a threat that can be impossible to extinguish is provides endless plot hooks.

Suggestion> If you go back to Dwarven Forge builds, one camera needs to have a straight down look in order to see distances better. Tactical combat is fun to watch.

I recently been listening to and the episode’s getting caught up. This 1 episode is by for the most surprising episode so far. It had me in my he seat of my pants!

A DM can certainly rule that. I would rule it like this. If it is any lycantrope strain (animal) other than the one of the shifter heritage, the player has advantage. If it is the same they are descended from, they have disadvantage. Thanks, you just gave me an idea for my next campaign.
To answer the feedback you requested: the interactions of players/RP is higher quality in person. Although the roll20 battle maps are much more enjoyable for me, compared to the minis with overhead camera. It's very difficult to see what is going on during the OG in-person battles. The roll 20 battle maps are just fantastic and I will certainly miss seeing them if you return back to using miniatures again!

I know that your take on the Monk is similar to everyone else, myself included, it’s an underpowered class and it’s upsetting. Also, I doubt the Tasha’s additions even crack the S tier either and I don’t blame ya there. But I think a video of what YOU think the Monk needs to break that ceiling and be a viable option going forward has to be made.
I can say in my Princes of the Apocalypse campaign that our monk is a beast. We did have higher stat point buys and a high magic/higher power campaign to the default version. But his ability to lock down with Stunning Strike and move enemies with Open Hand Technique and Crusher Feat from Tasha`s is amazing and a key player in the group's combat performance.
This is in a 6 man party (all level 11) with 2 Sorcerers (one with DC 19 spellcasting), Cleric/Ranger, Paladin/Sorcerer, and Bear Totem Barbarian. He isnt outshone at all and is invaluable as both a skirmisher, caster assassin, and off tank for Barbarian and Paladin.
Obviously my campaign is a unique case but in my opinion the higher stat point buy I allowed alleviated the MAD( Multiple Attributes Dependancy) problem that Monks face to be as functional as other classes. My campaign isnt an easy pushover either considering it had an actual 6 player TPK at level 10. The monk was a retired character at level 7 and made a comeback to avenge his fallen comrades on news of their deaths.
I do agree that under more normal conditions for a campaign the base monk is lackluster, but with careful DM tweaking it can also work imo.
@@savetehbeavers7292 Your campaign being the unique case that it is says something. You were almost required to gift the players, mostly the monk, that benefit and I find that admirable. Sometimes a DM has to be lenient to help the players out and I’m glad more and more DMs are waving their hand to certain rules and regulations. Also, the fact the monk in your campaign is getting the most out of the Crusher Feat is awesome lol. One of the better additions from Tasha’s IMO. But yeah it’s a shame the Monk is seen like it is, aesthetically it’s very much my cup of tea. But mechanically it lacks in places. It’s unfortunate that so many dismiss it and say it doesn’t fit in a fantasy setting. And the latter pisses me off. It’s fucking fantasy with magic spells and what not. Why can’t someone punch shit? Lmao.

Hmmm... Joe's first character (Pluto) has a connection to the throne Now Kell has a character connected to the throne. If you go beyond this session of Shadows, maybe have Jill play another character connected to the throne. Later could have all three characters connected to throne campaign together. Sorry my brain is going wild here with possibilities of some good RPing.

One of the best arguments would be: If you want to help as many people as possible - then you should claim the throne and in that position you can affect all.
Being anything else the actions you make are mere your own. But having a kingdom under your rule, everyone is pushing towards the goals you point.
As a king you can help us all in the ways you see most beneficial.

Whenever my group is canceled due to having less than 5 people, I just point to this lovely game.
Five is all I ever allow, including myself. I make exceptions for cameos, where I might have someone else come in and play an NPC for a session or two. 5e is built for a party of four (rather than six as in older editions), and the classes are more versatile than ever, so I see no reason to go bigger.
We normally play with 4. A 2nd group has 6. Campaigns can be adjusted for party size. It is really no big deal.
I am used to my groups being just 2 people or 3. Rarely ever did I dm a campaign with 4 or 5 people.
Edit: Me and other 2 or 3 I mean.
These last 2 sessions have been incredible! I've been telling all my dnd buddies to jump on the drakkenheim season 2 train asap! I want someone to talk to about the Wilhelm stuff!!!
