Angela, I have learned so much from you!! I love your videos!! I like how you give the diagrams for quilting as well as cutting and sewing. I really like this fabric. Its like a neutral with a splash of modern, so it looks great and not stuffy. Thank you for teaching all of us so much! Cheers with a glass of red wine!!!
Hi! I saw you at the Houston International Quilt Festival and I must say that you are as kind in person as you are in the show. Thank you for your humor that encouraged me and my mom during a difficult time! God bless you and yours!
So happy that someone is finally making cool videos on how to FMQ. There are tons of videos on how to piece, but not how to finish it off once the top is made. Thank you for your shows! You make Wednesday mornings fun!
This is a great quilt and a super cool palette! I love your show, and when I am watching you my kids walk by and say "Oh, Is that the funny lady who Jokes around and picks on her kids?" and then they stop and watch WITH ME. They are 11 and 17. Boys. How cool are you? Thanks for the giggles, and the awesome quilting lessons. I love your style, humor AND your Craftsy classes!!!
You inspire me, I've been sewing for almost 50 years, mostly clothes for my family, (6 kids) Now I am trying my hand at crafts and quilts. I get almost paralyzed trying to figure out how to quilt each quilt, so you are very motivational with your laid back ways. Thank You
Glad you're back, and wow! MQS has it's own channel -- you HAVE ARRIVED!! Another nicely done video. Thanks for being YOU, and for adding your twisty-bits to the quilting community. Keep up the good work! Cheers!
Welcome back..... luv these episodes. The best thing for me is when a mistake is made you don't rip out, you show us we are not perfect and our quilts don't have to be either. Thanks
Hi Angela, I had a very hard time waiting for today to come after seeing you streaming live in Houston at the quilt festival. I love the colors of the puzzle quilt you made for this episode for today but I also love the blue one you quilted at festival and the fact that you used the same thread color for both of them. I love this pattern by Monique Dillard. Thank you for your inspiration and love of teaching and a wonderful personality.
I love this quilt...actually I love all your quilts. So glad you are back, I miss the Midnight Quilt show. I've been watching them over and over. You make me smile. Keep on quilting at Midnight!!!
When sorting your fabrics take a photo in black and white. You'll be able to see which ones are light and which ones are medium light. xoxo from Arizona.
Berenice Bauer, your DSIL is just the guy to help you “review” the top before you quilt it. Have him step back and look at the whole top for incorrectly-rotated blocks or units! He may see that sort of issue better than you can since you can be “distracted” by the colors. A black and white photo serves the same purpose!
OMG speaking of people being suspicious of all these little plastic baggies with fabric in them...While traveling from the USA to my home in Canada my carry on bag was thoroughly searched at the air port because it was full of ziplock baggies containing 1 1/2 inch square for a quilt I was working on...we quilters are shady looking characters aren't we lol
Hi Angela. I don't sew let alone quilt. I only watch your videos for your lovely humorous personality and also watching the whole process feels so therapeutic. This particular piece is my most favorite out of all of your videos. Will you gift it to me? :D
Beautiful! Love that illusion! Wish you could slow down a bit, especially on the quilting parts, but, you go so fast it is a bit difficult for us 'Angela-wannabes' to follow. You are amazing. Love your shows!
You can change the speed of TH-cam videos, if you think that will help. If you click the gear symbol on the control bar there is a speed option. You can set the video at 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.25, 1.5, or 2 times normal speed. You can also use your keyboard to control the video. 'K' pauses and plays the video. The 'J' rewinds 10 seconds and the 'L' key will fast forward by 10 seconds each time you tap them. If you need to see the video frame by frame you can tap the comma button to go back one frame, and the period button to go forward one frame. Hope that helps!
Hi Angela! I just got my email notice that the premiere show was up and watched it! YAY! I'm so happy you are back. I wish I could make myself wait and binge watch all the shows, because when I finish watching one, I always want more! Ah well! I can just go back and binge all the past shows, they never get old. Welcome back...Can't wait for all the other Midnights you do! (Especially the Bargello!)
Welcome back! You have turned me into a midnight quilter! Such a great time to have some me and my quilts alone time. Although, if truth be told, I am NOT as chipper as you are in your videos. Love your sense of humor too. You have taught me so much Thanks.
What a delightful way to learn about quilting! I'm sold on The Midnight Quilt Show and telling all my quilting buddies!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love the quilt puzzle pattern! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad you're back Angela! I sure wish it only took me 12:20 to make a quilt and quilt it. haha. The quilt looks more complex than it is and I love that.
Always love these Midnight Quilt shows. Love the humor. I can identify with the quilt block stuck to your clothes as I have had many missing pieces stick to my socks!! I also carry thread thru the house. Hubby wonders where the thread bits come from. I keep telling him the quilt fairy brings them!!
Anyone watching your episodes can't help getting excited about sewing and Quilting. What a wonderful way to get children interested in this art. Making learning fun, is such an effective mode of teaching. Blessings to you!
I've JUST discovered you! I asked in my quilt groups who would be great to watch and got a LOT of recommendations for you! I started at season one and am having a BALL!! I'm a hand quilter so watching you FMQ just ASTOUNDS me!! It just blows my mind how you quilt all these designs without a pattern!! You ROCK!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Angela, Thank you so much for your words of advice on the Midnight Quilt Show. You really have provided the encourage for this beginner to keep going. I really enjoy quilting even though my work is not perfect!! Thank you Angela!!
Hi Angela! I've only been quilting for about six months. I found the Midnight Quilt Show early on when I was trying to figure it all out - you are my quilting hero! Thanks for all your encouragement. I love your advice . . . finished is better than perfect! That Craftsy bundle is sooooo pretty!
Surprisingly simple quilt. As usual, you did an AWESOME job on the quilting!! I enjoy every episode of the MQS. Thanks for offering a chance to win that yummy bundle of fabrics, too!
Angela, I must confess surprise by how dimensional this quilt looks. The chain really appears above the background of squares. And while the original version is great, that sea glass version is really, really gorgeous. I look forward to the rest of the season.
Love the twisty bits.....and the lost block piece along with the wine glass.....Your show makes me want to stay up til midnight to sew or just get up then and follow along with you to have a fun time quilting.
Angela, I love the new episode. Of course it means more to me since I was at festival with my sister and my mom. Then we ran into you at the Craftsy booth....squeal! To meet you in person and get a picture with you was a highlight! Thank you for being a teacher to me through your videos.
I have watched this video at least five times now. Because of it, the queen sized quilt kit with backing fabric and batting was my Christmas present from my parents this year. I cannot wait to get it and dive into it. I'm sure to watch it another five plus times as I go on this journey. I've only ever quilted my quilts using the stitch in the ditch method so I am considering finally branching out and trying to actually quilt. You make me believe I can fly, Angela... or at least quilt a quilt. lol
Every time I watch a new episode I have a new favorite quilt I want to make but I think this is really my favorite yet!! I love these interlocking squares and the quilting is perfect for me to tackle!! I love it! Thank you!!! 😃
Your quilt shows are an inspiration to those of us who quilt. I have used some of your quilting patterns using my longarm and when the quilt is finished I am always surprised at how well they've turn out. Thank you for sharing and posting here where we can all see.
Welcome back. Love the puzzle pattern. Have added it to the never ending list of quilts I have to make in this lifetime. I'll live til 300 or so to get them all done.
Glad to have you back...just getting started in quilting ok piecing, the quilting part scares me to death. You make it look so easy. Thank you for all your humor and guidance.
I always look forward to watching your videos. Your expertise and humor combined add so much to my quilting passion! Oh, and the quilt and your simple quilting instructions are fun too! I have learned from you not to fear the quilting but now look forward to it and love the fact that you use your regular machine! That’s my comment and I’m sticking to it! Because after all a finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt!!
Thanks for this vodeo, Angela. After visiting El Camino Quilters, several of us have enjoyed watching your videos on your midnight quilt show. You are truely a gifted teacher!
Great quilt.. love your start to finish style! Side note..my son came for a visit, we did a puzzle and found a piece missing! It was a colorful one of tropical birds..I watered down white school glue,, finished it up and framed it then sent it to him with a note on the back... "life is not perfect just wonderful"... at the time he struggled with AA..lots of ups and downs... My quilting really is my therapy:)) I thank YOU and Jenny and all like you that have helped this MOM thru it all:))
Holy You Tube! I love your videos. After watching this one, I believe I can do the puzzle quilt. A person of my age needs all the help they can get. Thanks again. I am sold on your videos!
As always, your video is inspiring. I love how you stay grounded in your work, rather than stressing about not always achieving perfection. I hope you will keep up your tutorials for a long time!
I’m glad you’re back for another season. I really like the puzzle quilt. It was neat to see it in two colorways and different quilting patterns. Thanks for all you do and share.
Angela, I am so happy you are back, and with your own channel! How cool are you! I love this quilt, and especially the way you quilted it. If I win the fat quarter package, I will treasure it forever. I love your sense of humor.
Enjoy watching your quiliting confidence, the ease you can manipulate these quilting | sewing type machines. Looks relaxing, peaceful. Love the puzzle quilt and the fat quarter selection.
Angela, I'm a fairly new quilter who has learned a lot from you! Your personality alone keeps me coming back to your videos. I've bought some of your videos from Craftsy and watched almost all you have on TH-cam. Can't wait to try some of your free motion designs.
Hi angela! Love your show I'm from india.... the concept of quilting is really different here and watching your show was an eye opener for me and my aunt who is 82 years is making your all roads quilt and you have inspired us immensely thank you .love to have you back
Hi Angela, What a lovely quilt. Thank you for all the tips. I can't quite get the hang of free-motion quilting, so I've enrolled in several other Craftsy classes over the past several years. I really enjoy straight-line quilting, and big-stitch quilting by hand with pearl cotton. I missed seeing you in person at Festival in Houston. I agree with Jenny; just continue being your sweet, funny self and your success will continue. ...........a fan from Houston.......so lucky to live so close to Festival. Houston is getting more and more beautiful each year, despite the flooding.
I love your Midnight Quilt Show. I purchase your book Free Motion Quilting and Squiggy ruler. When I read your dedication to Grandpa Ford I cried. I have learned so much from your book. Keep on Quilting
Hi Angela, i just started quilting because of you. I’ve never even owned a sewing machine until a month ago. Now Im on my 6th quilt! I never thought i could do this, but after watching your channel, i realize why not? Everybody is getting a quilt for christmas on my list. Thanks for the inspiration. I sooo look forward to your videos!
Optical illusion quilts are my favorite. I love that you have to keep looking to see everything that is going on in them. Glad you are back, it was definitely time for an "Angela fix."
That must be some high octane wine. Your speed through the video made my eyes cross trying to keep up. The pattern is intriguing and looks beautiful after your quilting. Put this on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Angela, Not that it's hard to do but the more I look at this quilt the more I love it. So pretty but not as difficult as it looks. Your quilting is always gorgeous!
I have to say that I love the look of this block and adore the way it looks completed! You are always so much fun to watch and I'm glad the MQS is back on for the new season. Looking forward to all of your new creations!!
Love your sense of humour! You maybe are the "I dream of Jeanie" or the "Bewitched" of the quilt world!!!! I was watching the video and my dear hubby wondered watch I was watching.... He had to chuckle at the snapping of the fingers for the quilt blocks to appear. He knows how that process goes sometimes. Love the show especially because I am a new longarmer and deciding on how and what to quilt is so interesting to watch. Although I would like to just use magic to get my skill level up ...but I know it is practice, practice, practice !
I love the illusion of the twisty fabrics interlocking. I have taken some of your quilting classes and love the FM quilting you did on this quilt!! Thanks for another great episode.
I love the Midnight Quilt Show! Love this quilt pattern and love it in the sea glass colorway! Thanks for the opportunity to win that beautiful fabric!
Love this new puzzling pattern and I didn't realize there was med. light and med. dark, thought it was just light, medium and dark. So clever they way the pieces come together. Also can't wait for the Bargello quilt video.
What a fun quilt pattern. I always have loved when blocks make an all over 2nd pattern. Beautiful job. Speaking of beautiful...the blues in the giveaway are so pretty!
Dear Angela, Soooooo glad you are back with your MIDNIGHT QUILT SHOW! I never miss one. I have taken many of your Craftsy classes and have greatly improved my free motion work. Thanks for the inspiration! I love this new pattern!!
Love this quilt - how easily it came together and how the quilting enhances it. Great show as always!
Twisty bits, oh twisty bits, how beautiful you end up! Thanks for another fun Evening Angela!
The Midnight Quilt show is the highlight of my week!!!!
So happy that someone is finally making cool videos on how to FMQ. There are tons of videos on how to piece, but not how to finish it off once the top is made. Thank you for your shows! You make Wednesday mornings fun!
I love this quilt! It looks rather Celtic and those are my favorite designs.
This is a great quilt and a super cool palette! I love your show, and when I am watching you my kids walk by and say "Oh, Is that the funny lady who Jokes around and picks on her kids?" and then they stop and watch WITH ME. They are 11 and 17. You make everything look so easy!! I love how you alternated the solid lines with the wishbones on the twisty-bits (you're right, that is fun to say)
Hi Angela! My husband works at night, so I am a "midnight quilter." I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for all your quilting tips!
So glad you are back with more videos and new quilting ideas. Love it!
You inspire me, I've been sewing for almost 50 years, mostly clothes for my family, (6 kids) Now I am trying my hand at crafts and quilts. I get almost paralyzed trying to figure out how to quilt each quilt, so you are very motivational with your laid back ways. Thank You

I love this quilt...actually I love all your quilts. So glad you are back, I miss the Midnight Quilt show. I've been watching them over and over. You make me smile. Keep on quilting at Midnight!!!
Twisty-bits! HA! That’s one for my quilting vocabulary now!
LOL, it's my favorite expression right now!!
Can’t wait until I get up the courage to free motion quilt! This looks amazing!
GO for it!! I promise it just takes a little practice!!
When sorting your fabrics take a photo in black and white. You'll be able to see which ones are light and which ones are medium light. xoxo from Arizona.
So smart!!!!
Angela Walters , no , I've just been reading too many quilting blogs! xoxo from Arizona
That is genius!
That's a great idea. I've been using my color blind (red/green)son in law when saving a real problem.
Oops time for work, watch your videos before I go to work then quilt when I get home. Videos are great and get me motivated. Cheers
Wow love it! You always make me smile!! Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!! You must have a great sense of humor lol!!
Glad to see you back recording your Midnight Quilt Show. Looking forward to watching all.
LOL, That's hilarious! I have never been stopped by customs...you got to watch out for those quilters!
Those blocks are like magic - what a great solution to a complex looking quilt! Love the MQS, I look forward to it every week!
Hi Angela. I don't sew let alone quilt. I only watch your videos for your lovely humorous personality and also watching the whole process feels so therapeutic.
This particular piece is my most favorite out of all of your videos. Will you gift it to me? :D
It just so happens that Craftsy is giving it away to one lucky winner! details here: www.craftsy.com/blog/2017/11/quilt-festival-giveaway/
Its a compliment. I am not actually asking for it. My goodness!
lol...I knew what you meant!
I totally understood what you meant :) We must have a similar sense of humor
I am so sorry, I should not have posted that. I deleted my remark. Please forgive me Rifat Hossain.
This puzzle Quilt is really cute. I love the fabrics too. Angela, you always make the process look like fun.

I've been obsessed with jigsaw puzzles for decades! Quilts are just fabric versions - that I get to design, plan, & execute myself!

LOL, at least it's bits of thread and not pins!
I absolutely love this quilt and your use of everyday household items to help with your quilting. Glad you are back.
You know how us quilters can be resourceful!!
I love the puzzle quilt. Angela, you are a hoot! Always enjoy your videos.

Love the show especially because I am a new longarmer and deciding on how and what to quilt is so interesting to watch. Although I would like to just use magic to get my skill level up ...but I know it is practice, practice, practice !
I love watching all your videos and browsing through books for all the inspirational ideas that I can use on my projects!!! Please don't stop!!
What a fun quilt! Thanks for providing TWO quilting options. Love the Midnight Quilt Show!
I love the illusion of the twisty fabrics interlocking. I have taken some of your quilting classes and love the FM quilting you did on this quilt!! Thanks for another great episode.
So happy you are back. I love your videos. Thanks to you I have finished machine quilting most of my UFOs and not worry that they aren't perfect.

I love the Midnight Quilt Show! Love this quilt pattern and love it in the sea glass colorway! Thanks for the opportunity to win that beautiful fabric!
This is a really fun quilt. I agonize over the quilting designs to put on my quilts. It seems so effortless for you. Thanks Angela!
It just so happens that I have a lot of experience with machine quilting!!
