Thank you for posting the video. This explains exactly my problem. I'll tackle it as soon as I get a crank puller. Hopefully mine has dirt or metal filings or something as well.

      was it dirt?

I removed everything, electrically checked all cables (seem fine), There was a little dirt, but not enough (in my opinion) to cause a problems with magnetic pickup/sensing. I suspect it has/had something to do with the collar part of the sensor not spinning. That is, the crank is spinning (me peddling) and the collar was slipping and NOT spinning with the crank shaft. It's relying on a friction fit to work. It put a bit of glue where the spinning part off of the sensor friction fits over the crank shaft. Seems to work. No issues after 200km.

Yes, after my first heavy day of rain, the T1 was on the blink due to effects of dampness. I had to seal up those massive holes on the housing going into the controller. I have a video I need to put up about it.

I can't open your channel... Weird thing with the YT comments lately is that I can't open others' channels to check out their vids...

@@2NDFLB-CLERK Yes, I found that YT do that leading up to the US elections. They are noted for it.They want less people weighing in on stuff... Not on my channel but on political stuff. So they adjust their algorithms.

My Fiido L3 has the same sensor and becoming dangerous due to this problem, I am thinking of making some kind of gasket between the crank arm and the sensor; I am using a rubber O ring from the garden center at the moment.

Is there a way to by pass sensor

I don't think so. If you did it would either run all the time or not at all. It acts like a switch, so when you pedal it switches the motor on.

@@Holywinter792 maybe take it off and give it a thorough clean? If not, they are pretty cheap to replace. Good luck

@@Holywinter792 You will have to disassemble and clean the magnet, put some silicone grease in there before you close it up. Go to a plumbing store and ask for silicone grease, it has good waterproofing property.
